You are welcome dear.

Hi, it is regarding this. I came across that user before in other articles and they have a bad habit of reverting without discussion. But it would be unwise to report them here since you might get ... that as well. I can do one thing though, request for full protection of the article. Let me know, what can I do. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 07:53, 29 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Fylindfotberserk:I think you should request for full protection for now, or whatever seems best at the moment.SangrurUser (talk) 14:54, 29 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Ardaas has broken the BO collection of Chaar sahibzade, please update the collections in Wikipedia pages Tggh23 (talk) 02:37, 3 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Tggh23:What??! Haven’t you seen Box Office India reports which state its collection "₹31.25 crore". The source is cited in article of highest grossing films.SangrurUser (talk) 03:14, 3 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Haven't you seen the tweets of critics Tggh23 (talk) 03:47, 5 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Tggh23:Which critics?? Anyway, we should prefer a reliable box office website than any kind of portal which almost publish what actor is posting.SangrurUser (talk) 11:24, 5 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Gippy Grewal himself posted a story of 48.2 Cr collection Tggh23 (talk) 08:27, 8 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Tggh23:Grewal’s reports have previously mismatched Box Office India reports. Ardaas Karaan has grossed ~$2.7 million which is around ₹19 crore and this means it has grossed around ₹30 crore in India which is impossible. And overseas gross can’t be inflated as it is from "Comscore".SangrurUser (talk) 08:51, 8 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, re: Garry Sandhu, it looks to me like you created that article, yet the discography is still a confused mess. Is that something you think you could help improve? And secondly, in this edit, you submitted content that was copied verbatim from here. How exactly do you justify that from an ethical perspective? [edit]

Hey SangrurUser,

Thank you very much for your detailed contributions. In the context of a discussion with another user, I have removed a date from the article about Nimrat Khaira.

Please see the bottom of Special:PermanentLink/935461878#Original_research_/_personal_interpretation_in_biographies for details. It was not you who had added an unsourced year, but the general advice may be relevant.

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in living or recently deceased people, and edits relating to the subject (living or recently deceased) of such biographical articles. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Best regards,

"Jhanjar"

[edit]

Please note that Wikipedia does not recognise YouTube, iTunes, Spotify, etc. as valid charts, because they fail WP:SINGLEVENDOR. Therefore at present this article has no reliable sources, and it may be nominated for deletion if you cannot add any reliable sources to it, such as newspaper articles about the song... gossip websites and fan forums are not valid sources. The social media of the artist or his record company can't be used either, as they are not independent. "Chitta Kurta" has the same problems. Thank you. Richard3120 (talk) 23:05, 5 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for adding some reliable sources. I have removed the charts, however, as none of them are valid under WP:SINGLEVENDOR. Richard3120 (talk) 13:53, 6 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Richard3120: What about this chart, is it valid or not? SangrurUser (talk) 01:55, 7 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Yes I think so – we don't have any discussion about it, but it's from an official chart supplier, so I don't see a problem with it. Richard3120 (talk) 01:59, 7 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

If you say in Diljit Dosanjh's wikepedia page that his 2018 film, Soorma, is not a commercial success, then why does it say on its article that it was a commercial success? If you don't get it what I am saying, read this from the article: "Despite receiving mixed reviews from critics, Soorma emerged as a commercial success grossing ₹470 million (US$6.6 million) worldwide on a budget of ₹310 million (US$4.3 million)." You should instead edit Soorma and replace it with commercial failure in the article and then inform me and edit Diljit's wikepedia page. Regards. We are the Great (talk) 21:25, 28 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I mean, some IP user re-edited it to the the quote which is shown in the article, and before, it showed that it did not perfom well. We are the Great (talk) 21:43, 28 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@We are the Great:You should be well aware of that Wikipedia itself can't be considered as reliable source. You can't just write anything on behalf of other Wikipedia article. I reverted your edit on Diljit Dosanjh's article and not on Soorma because it is on my watchlist while Soorma isn't. So, if you find any reliable source saying it is commercial success, i.e, "HIT" then you can add that statement.SangrurUser (talk) 01:19, 29 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@SangrurUser: So if you say that Diljit's article is in your watchlist, then can you update the "career" section of his page, because I saw that it's kind of outdated, and add a new song "Stranger", which is sung by him and Simar Kaur, music is by Mofusion Studios and lyrics by Alfaaz, because in the "singles" section it doesn't show the song. Amrinder Gill Birthplace -- Deleted True Information

[edit]

Hi there,

I wanted to kindly inform you that the information on Amrinder Gill's page that you've removed is in fact true, not false. The reason that content was added is that he is my relative, and we are from the same village (Sehnsra, Ajnala, Amritsar). When I added this information that was important, it kept getting removed, so I want to kindly ask you to keep that info in (he is my father's cousin's son). It is really disappointing to see this since a true contribution is being made then deleted wrongfully. I added that he was born in "Sehnsra village, Amritsar district, Punjab, India" which is not false.

Thank you and take care, S. Gill 05:33, 18 May 2020 (UTC)SamrathGill04 (talk)

@SamrathGill04:Brother, I didn’t removed it intentionally. It is a Wikipedia policy that anything you are adding should be provable by a valid source.SangrurUser (talk) 06:59, 18 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@SamrathGill04: If you are somehow related to Amrinder Gill. You can ask him to add this information in his any official account's bio. For example here. It would totally work. Thanks.SangrurUser (talk) 07:02, 18 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@SangrurUser Okay no worries, I will ask him. However, we are in two different time zones, as I am in west of Canada. Is there any way you can make the edit with my consent?

@SamrathGill04:I don’t think so. Even if I add the content, it would get removed when some reviewer or admin will review the article.SangrurUser (talk) 15:00, 19 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, re: this, there is a template, {{Cite AV media}} that will allow you to cite a video, like a YouTube video, without having to misuse the |quote= field to insert a timestamp. Also, "live video concert" is not a proper noun, and should not be capitalised. I'll fix these issues for you. Regards, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 16:46, 22 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

January 2022

[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Sangrur Assembly Constituency. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Venkat TL (talk) 14:51, 28 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Winnerjit Singh Goldy moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Winnerjit Singh Goldy, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) In addition, there appears to be a WP:UPE or WP:COI conflict. Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, and have addressed the UPE/COI issue, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. As per WP policy, please do not move into mainspace yourself. Onel5969 TT me 17:40, 8 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
