Additions in Circumcision
I'm the one who edited the Circumcision on 12 July 2022(UTC) - diffs. I think that a comparison of male and female circumcision is necessary in defining circumcision because they are similar. I've made the following improvements to the description regarding the difference between male and female circumcision with adding sources. Is it safe to edit if this is the case? If not, may I ask you to tell me how I should improve it?
- Female genital mutilation is sometimes referred to as female circumcision.[1] But the term female circumcision has been rejected by international medical professionals because male and female circumcision differ in several ways.[1] For example, with male circumcision, in most cases the foreskin is cut away, but with female circumcision, depending on the type, clitoris, labia minora, and labia majora are cut away often without anesthesia.[2] Also, unlike male circumcision, female circumcision has no health benefits.[3]
