Welcome!
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia, Prateekramachandra! I am MikeLynch and have been editing Wikipedia for quite some time. Thank you for your contributions. I just wanted to say hi and welcome you to Wikipedia! If you have any questions check out Wikipedia:Questions, or feel free to leave me a message on my talk page or type {{helpme}} at the bottom of this page. I love to help new users, so don't be afraid to leave a message! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:
- Introduction
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page
- Help pages
- How to write a great article
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Also, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post. Again, welcome!

User Page
[edit]Hey Prateek, I think it is a good idea to develop your user page. On the top of your page, you can see a link called Prateekramachandra. Click on that, and write something about yourself. You can also put some userboxes. For example, look at some of my userboxes here. Just go to edit and copy the code on to your user page, and you'll get your userbox.
User pages are again kinda important because other editors tend to take people with userpages more seriously. Or as an alternative, you can redirect your user page to your talk page (this page). Some users do that too. To do that, type #REDIRECT [[User talk:Prateekramachandra]] on the user page. TheMike •Wassup doc? 04:51, 26 January 2011 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Nirmalananda Swamiji
[edit]Hello Prateekramachandra,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Nirmalananda Swamiji for deletion, because it seems to be copied from another source.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to rewrite it in your own words, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks, FiachraByrne (talk) 01:59, 11 February 2013 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
