Feedback Dashboard task force
[edit]Hi Prashantserai,
Since you were a part of the WikiGuides project, I thought I'd give you a heads-up about a new way you can help/mentor newbies on en.wiki: we've recently released a feature called the Feedback Dashboard, a queue that updates in real time with feedback and editing questions from new registered contributors who have attempted to make at least one edit. Steven Walling and I are putting together a task force for experienced Wikipedians who might be interested in monitoring the queue and responding to the feedback: details are here at Wikipedia:Feedback Dashboard. Please sign up if you're interested in helping out! Thanks, Maryana (WMF) (talk) 21:44, 7 November 2011 (UTC)
Signing up. Shall respond with the knowledge that I have. Not very often though. - Prashant Serai (talk) 15:12, 9 November 2011 (UTC)
What are you talking about
[edit]I don't know what you are talking about, first off i'm not hurt and secondly no improvements has been made upon my edits, a certain user likes to add false information on Chelidonis and this must be blocked, deleted, for it is information without references, other than a writer of novels, fiction and not fact. [edit]
Dear User:RurikTheGreat,
Though Jessica Salmonson is more prominently a fiction writer, the book cited is one of her works of non-fiction, possibly the only one. And so, it may not be correct to count the particular citation as invalid and remove the citation and/or the cited information without a concrete explanation for the same. I am sorry for assuming that you got hurt, I felt you were hurt after reading your comment where you called User:Aciram a revisionist. Revisionism is in fact one of the premises behind Wikipedia! That aside, looking at the page history, there has been a lot of repeated undoing of edits by you both. It would be nice if you both discuss and sort out the issues mutually, rather than undoing edits any more, for now.
Thanks for improving Wikipedia! - Prashant Serai (talk) 14:54, 9 November 2011 (UTC)
I'd also like to add that, if you feel that the referencing on any article is not enough, no one's stopping you from adding more references, but it need not be done by replacing the existing reference/s.
If you still strongly feel that the existing reference needs to be removed, please show enough evidence to suggest, for example, that the content in the cited book is inaccurate, or that the particular author is known for making baseless statements ad claims them to be facts. -Prashant Serai (talk) 15:06, 9 November 2011 (UTC)
Feedback Dashboard upgrade
[edit]Hi Prashantserai,
Thanks for signing up for the Feedback Dashboard response team! I wanted to let you know that the tool just got an important update (see here for details). I also wanted to invite you to the IRC office hours session that Steven and I are going to hold this Sunday, December 4. Hope you can make it and share your experience/questions with us! Thanks again, Maryana (WMF) (talk) 23:55, 30 November 2011 (UTC)
