User talk:PotatoBot/Lists/Trade names log

To-do list
[edit]I'm exhilarated to see the bot is in operation again. Also, I think there should be a specific to-do list for this log, perhaps in a box at the top. Some major tasks which I think should be included:
- For those with target article not found, consider if the target article exists at another location. For example, for a target article given in salt form, for example Flumetasone pivalate, there may be an article at the name of the active moiety, that is, at Flumetasone.
- Or simply at a different capitalisation – we perfer lower case at Wikipedia, while many DrugBank entries use upper case (Flumetasone Pivalate). --ἀνυπόδητος (talk) 10:08, 16 January 2011 (UTC)
- For trade names whose target page already exists, consider merging that trade name article to the article with the generic/INN name.
- Specify target where possible, for example Drisdol to Vitamin D2 instead of Vitamin D.
- Please double-check cases where the bot claims that we have a wrong redirect. The error might be in the database the bot used. --ἀνυπόδητος (talk) 10:10, 16 January 2011 (UTC)

- Thanks for your encouragement! I just put a message box there that points to this talk page. If this page gets to crowded, we can still place a concise version in the box. --ἀνυπόδητος (talk) 10:08, 16 January 2011 (UTC)
- Still, I just made an introductory note, in order to link to this log from the Wikipedia:WikiProject Pharmacology page to see if more users are interested in creating the yet missing redirects. Mikael Häggström (talk) 09:49, 21 April 2011 (UTC)
