Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed maintenance templates from Megan Wilson. When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you.
- Please note that copyright is automatic when something is published, even if it's published online, or as a student paper, or whatever. Text on wikipedia should be either original or properly licensed. See wp:copyright for details. The same applies to images, by the way. Cheers. Hairhorn (talk) 18:10, 16 November 2010 (UTC)
License tagging for File:MeganWilson 1.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:MeganWilson 1.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.
For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 07:05, 16 November 2010 (UTC)
Deletion
[edit]I've looked at this again, and although you gave no references, a couple of the external links actually give an indication that she may be too notable for speedy deletion, although she could still be nominated for WP:AfD. I've therefore restored the article and created a references section. I've reorganised the external links, and removed spam links to commercial sites like Amazon. If this article is tagged again, you should not remove the tag yourself, there is a filter that checks for that; better to consult the tagger.
The image is at risk unless you give a source, and may not be usable even if it's your own photo. I've an idea that US copyright law prevents the free use of photos of objects that are not two-dimensional (ie paintings), but I'm a Brit, so don't rely on my thoughts. Non-free rationale for File:MeganWilson 1.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:MeganWilson 1.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. {Help me}} I don't understand why this file was deleted - I took the photograph - there is no copyright - and it is a free file - anyone can use it.

[edit]I undid your edits to Mission District, San Francisco as you restored an image file that did not exist and removed the interlanguage link to the Nederlands site which was valid. Please be careful to check your work. Thank you Jim1138 (talk) 20:32, 4 October 2012 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for November 25
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Megan Wilson, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Billings and Stephen Elliott. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

[edit]Hello, I'm Zackmann08. Thank you for your recent contributions to Megan Wilson. I noticed that when you added the image to the infobox, you added it as a thumbnail. In the future, please do not use thumbnails when adding images to an infobox (see WP:INFOBOXIMAGE). What does this mean? Well in the infobox, when you specify the image you wish to use, instead of doing it like this:
|image=[[File:SomeImage.jpg|thumb|Some image caption]]
Instead just supply the name of the image. So in this case you can simply do:
|image=SomeImage.jpg
.
There will then be a separate parameter for the image caption such as |caption=Some image caption
. Please note that this is a generic form message I am leaving on your page because you recently added a thumbnail to an infobox. The specific parameters for the image and caption may be different for the infobox you are using! Please consult the Template page for the infobox being used to see better documentation. Thanks!
