Unblock
[edit]PoliticsMaps (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log))
Request reason:
What is a sockpuppet? I have never used any other account to edit Wikipedia. I don't know why my IP was blocked several months ago but it was recently unblocked, so reblocking it is just unfair as I haven't done anything wrong. @Yamla should know what happened. I doubt you'll believe me though.
Decline reason:
My use of the checkuser tool confirms that you have abused multiple accounts. PhilKnight (talk) 23:48, 27 February 2024 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
Checkuser error
[edit]@PhilKnight your Checkuser tool is clearly wrong as I have never used any other accounts. I understand you don't believe me as you're too focused on your own edits and small editors like myself in your view have no place on Wikipedia. You need to understand that IP addresses are generic and the account you're linking me with made completely different edits to me and was active years ago. Even if there was some weird link I think enough time has passed. However, there is no link, and therefore this block is undemocratic. If this request is rejected, I will be willing to take it further as Wikipedia policies do allow for users to defend themselves. PoliticsMaps (talk) 00:20, 28 February 2024 (UTC)
- Following your pings, I have double checked, and the results are clear that you have abused multiple accounts. You can appeal to WP:ARBCOM if you like. PhilKnight (talk) 06:24, 28 February 2024 (UTC)
- How do I appeal to ArbCom? You still haven't answered my other question: how do I successfully get unblocked? Are you saying there is no way for me to ever be unblocked despite having done absolutely nothing wrong?

Furthermore, the statement "the results are clear that you have abused multiple accounts" is misleading because, again, IP addresses are generic and they can change. A simple Google search tells me that there have been other extreme cases, such as when the entire country of Qatar was blocked as the entire country was under one IP range.
As I stated earlier, I am willing to go further with this case. The question is, how far do I need to go to prove I'm innocent, and how can I do that in the space of two or three days? PoliticsMaps (talk) 07:38, 28 February 2024 (UTC)
- You can appeal to Arbcom by emailing them at arbcom-en@wikimedia.org explaining it is a checkuser block that you are appealing. I doubt you can resolve this in two or three days though. PhilKnight (talk) 09:30, 28 February 2024 (UTC)
- How long will it take? I want it done preferably before the 2024 Dunkley by-election but certainly before the 2024 Tasmanian state election. PoliticsMaps (talk) 10:56, 28 February 2024 (UTC)
- I don't know. But ArbCom usually is slow moving. PhilKnight (talk) 11:06, 28 February 2024 (UTC)

Unblock 2
[edit]PoliticsMaps (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log))
Request reason:
Re-requesting per above. I should also note that I made good edits and had no bad intentions. How can I get unblocked? Please answer that question.
Decline reason:
Intention does not matter when it comes to socking. In my capacity as a CU I am declining this request; PhilKnight was not wrong. Primefac (talk) 12:37, 28 February 2024 (UTC)

@PhilKnight @Yamla my deadline is 1 March 2024. PoliticsMaps (talk) 02:42, 28 February 2024 (UTC)
- What deadline?!? There is no deadline, you've been told this block likely won't be lifted in two or three days and I oppose lifting the block at all. Your block has been reviewed and found to be clearly valid. Don't ping me again. --Yamla (talk) 11:18, 28 February 2024 (UTC)
- Of course you oppose it. You want this to be the unfree encyclopaedia. You don't want certain editors on here. This is just like racism. PoliticsMaps (talk) 20:18, 28 February 2024 (UTC)
- @Yamla again, I AM WILLING TO GO FURTHER! I can easily contact a lawyer if you really insist. PoliticsMaps (talk) 20:19, 28 February 2024 (UTC)
- Once your legal action is complete, or if you are willing to withdraw your legal threat with prejudice, and so long as you commit to following WP:NLT going forward, you are free to request reinstatement of your talk page access via WP:UTRS. Good luck with your legal action. --Yamla (talk) 20:21, 28 February 2024 (UTC)

If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, you should read the guide to appealing blocks, then contact administrators by submitting a request to the Unblock Ticket Request System.
Please note that there could be appeals to the unblock ticket request system that have been declined leading to the post of this notice.
