License tagging for Image:Lectoure Cathedral Choir.JPG

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Lectoure Cathedral Choir.JPG. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 18:12, 19 August 2007 (UTC)

More about Saint-Saens Ave verum?

[edit]

Can you tell me more about the Saint-Saens Ave verum corpus? Have you sung or played in it? Do you recommend any recordings? Any interesting tidbits about it? James470 (talk) 04:51, 2 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

AFC Apology

[edit]

Hello Pm2726, I'm Go Phightins!, the reviewer who declined your submission at AFC. I wanted to apologize for both my ambiguity in elaborating upon necessary improvements and not seeing your attempted references. I've fixed the references to the proper format per Wikipedia's Manual of Style and struck my comment stating that it was unsourced. I just wanted to apologize for my mistake, it's not the first and it won't be the last, happy editing! Go Phightins! (talk) 22:14, 13 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

On User:K7L: I am not sure what you mean that he is not a BLP if dead since 1930; this is not a bio on a living person.

— Pm2726

I presume you intended to post this on user_talk: and not user: but BLP stands for biography of a living person. The original comments were:

Comment: unsourced blp Go Phightins! (talk) 02:19, 10 October 2012 (UTC)
Comment: It's not a BLP if he's been dead since 1930. K7L (talk) 22:08, 13 October 2012 (UTC)

The 2nd and 3rd references are from the Palatka Daily News with the appropriate dates, even though they are quoted in The Age of Barbarity. That's a primary source. Is it possible to begin this article with just the first paragraph (as a stub), then it can be added to later? Pm2726 (talk) 00:58, 27 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
The problem is articles shouldn't really be based on primary sources either. Personally I think that's less of an issue than basing it on unreliable sources, but the reasoning is that if an article just cites primary sources it's impossible to verify that those sources were used appropriately (not taken out of context, attached to fringe interpretations, and so on).
But to be honest it's such a minor issue at this point, I think I'll just accept and fix it myself. Keep up the good work! joe•roetc 08:57, 27 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your help. Pm2726 (talk) 14:33, 27 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm SkyWarrior. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Mariah Carey, but you didn't provide a source. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. SkyWarrior 18:45, 19 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
