Regarding Reasi

[edit]

I have restored your edits about the town. When town and district have the same names, there needs to be a seperate article Reasi District. And district related information needs to go into that article. Please let me know if you have any questions. - Ganeshk 18:19, 24 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This is not what I was looking for. However, if everything fits, surely your answer will be accepted. Let me see. Is Philip Glass notable as pioneer of printing Indian script in Europe?--Dwaipayan (talk) 20:38, 27 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Little context in Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam

[edit]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, by Closedmouth (talk · contribs), another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam is very short providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. --Android Mouse Bot 2 03:28, 16 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Helpme

[edit]

{{helpme}} how to create the redirect for an existing article? Thanks. --plasmid talk ||| sign plz! 18:00, 17 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Just go to the page that you want to redirect, edit it with the correct code and it will redirect to an existing article. For example, it's say I want to redirect "Example2" to "Example1" where "Example1" already exists.
  1. Type Example2 in the search box and click Go.
  2. On the upcoming page, click "Create this page".
  3. In the edit box type in #REDIRECT [[Example2]]
  4. Save the page.

If this doesn't answer your question, just leave me a message on my talk page and I'll get back in touch with you. Jac roeBlank 18:31, 17 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference

[edit]

Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.

On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being 'minor'. The only thing that's changed is that you will no longer have them marked as minor by default.

For established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. If you are familiar with the contents of WP:MINOR, and believe that it is still beneficial to the encyclopedia to have all your edits marked as such by default, then this discussion will give you the details you need to continue with this functionality indefinitely. If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.

Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 22:19, 14 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Asian 10,000 Challenge invite

[edit]

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 02:15, 21 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
