Speedy deletion nomination of Roy Mankovitz
[edit]You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
A tag has been placed on Roy Mankovitz requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject of the article is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}}
at the top of the article, immediately below the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}
) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate), and providing your reasons for contesting on the article's talk page, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. You may freely add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
You may want to read the guidelines for specific types of articles: biographies, websites, bands, or companies. JamesBWatson (talk) 16:04, 18 October 2010 (UTC)

Please help me with Subject: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roy_Mankovitz
I see something about "This article has multiple issues..." I don't know how to update and/or fix said issues. I've searched throughout Wikipedia and just don't get it. What is it I need to do and WHERE should I do this, or is this issue old and not relevant. I just tried to put facts up on this page and I feel the information is deserving of a Wiki page and if there are any mistake, please let me know what and how to correct it.
2nd reference - updated link: [1]
I noticed that some of the links are outdated, as Roy Mankovitz is deceased. I don't know how to update/edit the references. For instance, under references, the 2nd one about Disruptive Innovation has an incorrect link. I want to update it but I don't know how. All I see is the "REFERENCES" edit which doesn't seem to have anything to do with the editing of the actual link.
Any insight? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:PlanABrand cindy@planabrand.com

PlanABrand (talk) 19:56, 17 September 2016 (UTC)Cite error: There are <ref>
tags on this page without content in them (see the help page).
- There are several issues here. First of all, while you have used it for quite some time, your username violates Wikipedia's username policy because it's the name of a company and may be seen to imply shared use by multiple people at the company. Please request a change of username via Special:GlobalRenameRequest, or you may be blocked from editing. A username such as "Cindy at PlanABrand" would be acceptable.
- Secondly, please take a look at the Wikimedia Foundation's Terms of Use and make sure that you comply with the disclosure requirements laid out in the section on "paid contributions without disclosure".
- Regarding the article, it's indeed in need of improvement. You can find the code for the references in the body of the article, where there's a small [1], [2] and so on. The main problem with the references is not, however, merely that they're outdated, not even that the links are broken (for example, this is an archived copy of the second reference), but that not a single one of them is a reliable third-party source in the first place. It appears the only people who bother to write about Mankowitz are (formerly) himself and people closely associated with him. That does not suffice to show that he meets our standards of notability, and unless better references can be found, we should not have an article about him. Huon (talk) 22:34, 17 September 2016 (UTC)
The article Roy Mankovitz has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Does not appear to meet relevant notability guidelines; no independent non-obit coverage
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. — Moriwen (talk) 23:12, 30 June 2023 (UTC)
