Reliable sources in biographical articles

Hi there. I see that you're working on biographies. We certainly need all the help we can get in that area. However, I reverted or modified a few of your recent edits because they added unsourced information. Especially in biographies of living persons, we need to rely only on what reliable sources say. There are many random websites out there that purport to give out information on celebrities, and many of them are considered unusable on Wikipedia. For example, the IMDB is user-generated, and others are self-published. It is often not very easy to find specific birth places and dates for celebrities, and if they do not want these things known, then we should respect their privacy. One of the easier places to find this information is in interviews. You may wish to search for these on Google News. If you have questions about reliable sources, you can ask them at the reliable sources noticeboard. You can also seek general help at the tea house and the help desk.
