Conservative association links
[edit]- Hi. Thank you for contributing to wikipedia. I note that you're adding external links to every page in the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames pointing to the local conservative association. This will tend to cause problems, as other people may not share your political views.
- The way this has been handled in the past is to add external links for all local political parties to the Borough's main page - where the politics of the borough are dealt with, and not to add them to articles on districts within the borough.
- I'm pointing this out as such additions have caused edit wars in the past, and adding details for one political party contravenes wikipedia's WP:NPOV policy. Kbthompson (talk) 10:21, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
Changing someone else's signed statement on a talk page
[edit]Hello. I see you are new on wikipedia, so perhaps you are unaware. It is considered poor form, if not outright vandalism to change someone else's text on a talk page, as you did here on talk:Abbey Mills Mosque. If you have something to add to a talk page, please, by all means do so, but add your comments afterwards, so that an accurate record of the discussion is kept. Thank you, and welcome to wikipedia -- Avi (talk) 20:20, 12 May 2008 (UTC)
Abbey Mills Mosque
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from Abbey Mills Mosque. When removing text, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the text has been restored, as you can see from the page history. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. -- Avi (talk) 15:14, 28 January 2009 (UTC)
Please do not add commentary or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Abbey Mills Mosque. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. Thank you. -- Avi (talk) 15:14, 28 January 2009 (UTC)
