This complex provides permanent, free housing for homeless military veterans and assists in their battle to reenter the social, economic market as rehabilitated individuals. Piquette Square aims to assist in the recovery of homeless veterans that have any range of ailments from drug abuse to a lack of confidence. The complex offers psychiatry, job training, and programs that look to enhance the education of those dwelling there. Computer labs also enable the veterans ample opportunity to familiarize themselves with the internet and the hardware involved in order to better prepare the veterans to reenter the workforce. The apartment complex was funded by various sources, including governmental assistance, public donations, tax credits, and was completed in two years. Piquette Square is a non-profit enterprise and is prideful in its ability to provide both shelter and a potential future for the veterans that it houses.
