Angular Groove
[edit]Good day. Thanks for getting in touch about your article. Sorry I had to decline it but there were a couple of reasons. First, it wasn't sourced properly as I indicated and secondly, it appears to me that "angular groove" is a neologism and wikipedia doesn't permit articles about newly coined words or phrases that are not in common use.
Sources for an article need to be independent, third party, reliable sources. They need to be independent of the subject of the article. So, for instance, if you were writing an article about yourself, your website or facebook page would not be considered independent but an article about you in a magazine or newspaper would usually be considered independent. Wikipedia also gives guidance in its help files about how to insert the references into your article. You may want to review Guide to writing better articles, independent sources and inline citation help. As you start putting together your next article, you might also get some good guidance from Wikipedia's Manual of Style.
Dealing with the second problem with your submission, Wikipedia defines a "neologism" as "a newly coined term, word, or phrase, that may be in the process of entering common use, but has not yet been accepted into mainstream language. Neologisms are often directly attributable to a specific person, publication, period, or event." In this case, it may be only this one band that is using the phrase - my quick search of the internet for it didn't turn up anything else so you may have to wait to see if the term becomes more commonly used before writing an article about it.
On the other hand, I encourage you not to give up and to keep submitting articles on topics that interest you. Don't worry about being new, there are lots of helpful people around to answer questions and help you out along the way. If I can be of any further help, just let me know.
Good luck! Snowysusan 16:06, 22 August 2012 (UTC)
