This account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia because your username, Pinksquirrelcreative, does not meet our username policy.

Your username is the only reason for this block. You are welcome to choose a new username (see below) and continue editing.

A username should not be promotional, related to a "real-world" group or organization, misleading, offensive or disruptive. Also, usernames may not end in the word "bot" unless the account is an approved bot account

You are encouraged to choose a new account name that meets our policy guidelines and create the account yourself. Alternatively, if you have already made edits and you wish to keep your existing contributions under a new name, then you may request a change in username by:

  1. Adding {{unblock-un|your new username here}} on your user talk page. You should be able to do this even though you are blocked, as you can usually still edit your own talk page. If not, you may wish to contact the blocking administrator by clicking on "E-mail this user" on their talk page.
  2. At an administrator's discretion, you may be unblocked for 24 hours to file a request.
  3. Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a listing of already taken names. The account is created upon acceptance, thus do not try to create the new account before making the request for a name change. For more information, please see Wikipedia:Changing username.
If you feel that you were blocked in error, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|Your reason here}}, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. Peridon (talk) 13:54, 14 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Apart from requesting a new username, I would suggest you read WP:SPAM, WP:CORP, WP:RS and WP:PEACOCK. I appreciate that it's not easy sometimes for PR people to adopt the tone required for an encyclopaedia, but unless you can, you run the risk of your work being rejected. OK? Good luck... Already taken, sorry. The other one is clear. Peridon (talk) 18:12, 5 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I am very unclear as to how exactly to do this; it was not my intention to act as a "PR/puff piece". If this isn't the right way to request a username change, please help!

Allowing username change to requested username. Please put this request in at Wikipedia:Changing username as soon as possible to avoid re-blocking. Follow the link to WP:CHU, scroll down to Simple and do what it says. Can take a day or three - depends on how many bureaucrats are around. I do like your business name, but not for here. Name is fine; the article, however, reads as a typical PR hype. To produce a suitable article for this encyclopedia, essentially you need to remove anything which is overtly complimentary, leaving only the cold and unadorned facts.--Anthony Bradbury"talk" 16:12, 5 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
No problem, I understand your point now. May I be unblocked and permitted to edit the article so as to make it properly encyclopedic in nature? Thanks very much. Pinksquirrelcreative (talk) 18:10, 5 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
A problem we have quite often is convincing people who are in or are in contact with PR or estate agents (realtors) that the language they are used to seeing and writing is not suitable for an encyclopaedia. (I often feel that they should try our language in their work - it might shock hyperbole sated readers into taking notice... OK. I'll take a chance. Peridon (talk) 18:19, 5 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Pinksquirrelcreative. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "Peter Salerno".

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Peter Salerno}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, click "Save page", and an administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. HasteurBot (talk) 18:01, 8 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
