American state-terrorism
Hi Pinkkeith,
How mild of you to ask citations. Do you have any sources. I guess the speech of Bush in which he warns for a Third World war would suffice. Perhaps we need more.--Daanschr 19:22, 19 October 2007 (UTC)
Your recent edits
Why are you making your recent edits to Marc Bulger, Steven Jackson and Orlando Pace. Making a giant section called Biography and then making all the other ones sub-sections is pointless, and I have NEVER seen it done that way before.►Chris NelsonHolla! 17:10, 29 October 2007 (UTC)
- Look at some of the Featured articles, for example. None of the sections are done the way you do them. There is no way this is the preferred style. These articles are ABOUT the players, so obviously they are biographical, so it doesn't need a section called "Biography."►Chris NelsonHolla! 17:13, 29 October 2007 (UTC)
- But when the articles are completely a biography, it's pointless. It's just adding more sections for no reason.►Chris NelsonHolla! 17:21, 29 October 2007 (UTC)

Kreator
Hi, i noticed you nominated the article Kreator for GA. Unfortunately i believe it will not pass for several reasons. I have already removed the trivia section and re-arranged sections appropriately. *First of you should split the biography into sections for each album as done in Slayer and Megadeth.
- Do not link years by themselves such as 1982, should be just 1982
- It was praised by fans and critics alike. What critics? who do they work for? (all Music Guide, Rollingstone etc) what did they say about the album? the statement needs context.
- The writing is poor in sections and almost every line starts off with something completely non-related to the previous, an example:
- Kreator formed as Tyrant in 1982 in Essen, Germany(how did they meet each other?). The original lineup featured vocalist/guitarist Mille Petrozza, drummer Jurgen 'Ventor' Reil, and bassist Rob Fioretti. They soon changed their name to Tormentor(why?) and released two demos(any names?). They changed the name of the band again to the final one, Kreator(Why? does Kreator have a specific meaning or did it sound cool?) and signed to Noise Records in 1985 and recorded their debut album, Endless Pain, in just 10 days.(This sentence drags on and can be split in two) Legions of black and death metal bands(Some examples of bands and references are needed) call it one of their major influences.[4] The band hired the late Sodom guitarist Michael Wulf(Word it like he was alive at the time) for the albums tour.(album's refers to a single album, albums means more than one)
- Every sentence starts with a completely new topic and needs to 'flow' better and not jump subject each sentence.
- Remove the red links from the references. M3tal H3ad 11:13, 31 October 2007 (UTC)
Green
I wasn't looking at the year; YOU were the one that was removing it completely because you didn't know what the hell you were talking about.►Chris NelsonHolla! 21:35, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
- There's no ambiguity about "starting." It means "being in on the first play of an NFL game." For future reference, work on being able to admit you were wrong. It's the adult way of doing things.►Chris NelsonHolla! 21:38, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
Pink
I am surprised too that there isnt an article about the LGBT voting bloc, especially given the amount of energy spent by candidates to get "our" vote (in US elections). I see plenty of articles about specific orgs and groups, but nothing about blocs (either here in USA or around the world). "Pink vote" seems to have some currency in Australia, and to a lesser extent the UK. It will probably get tagged neo~logoism, but whatever title used, I really hope something can be put together. Hi, Pinkkeith! You recently added Category:Gay actors from the United Kingdom to Matthew Waterhouse, but I don't find a reference for that anywhere. Do you know of a reliable source that confirms that? Thanks! -- SatyrTN (talk | contribs) 18:25, 4 December 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, I saw those when I was searching Google. The problem is that NNDB is totally not reliable and AstaBGay is a fan site. The CTGLFF isn't a great source, but it would do if we had something similar to back it up. As you know, Wikipedia can't label someone as GLBT just because we all know it - we need reliably sourced info. If you find something, let me know? Or just put it in the article :) Thanks! -- SatyrTN (talk | contribs) 22:50, 11 December 2007 (UTC)

Category:National american football teams
For future reference: When you request renaming of a category, you should simply wait for the process to take its course rather than going ahead and creating a brand new category using the same name you've just requested. That just confuses matters, as I'm sure you can see. (Also, you need to be a bit more careful when you set up a request. In this case you inadvertently asked for renaming to Category:Category:National American football teams.) I'm sure you'll get the hang of it next time. Cgingold (talk) 12:00, 22 December 2007 (UTC)
Redirecting Full back
Hi Pinkkeith, I noticed you redirected Full back away from a soccer page and toward a disambiguation page. Would you mind explaining the rationale, please? The reason I ask is that I work on the disambiguation project where we try to remove links to dab pages and point them to the specific info required. Thanks in advance, --AndrewHowse (talk) 14:57, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks for the explanation. (NB that's a soccer page, not rugby). Are you going to edit the pages that now link to the dab page and should link to the soccer page? --AndrewHowse (talk) 15:22, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
- Check this out. All these pages now link to a dab page instead of linking to their intended content, as an unintended consequence of the redirect you changed. That ought to be fixed; it's part of changing the redirect. --AndrewHowse (talk) 15:31, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
- The only pages in mainspace (ie articles) that should point to Fullback, or any other disambiguation page, are pages that include hatnotes for clarity. e.g., Fullback (American football) has a hatnote that says "For other uses, see Fullback". An article about Mike Alstott, say, or Don Kindt, should be wikilinked to Fullback (American football) rather than to Fullback. See WP:D#Links to disambiguation pages. More importantly, anyone reading about Salif Diao or Laurent Bonnart used to get a wikilink to a description of their role in soccer, but now get dumped out to a disambiguation page. That's what I suggest you should fix, by changing the link in each article to point to the correct specific article and not the dab page. --AndrewHowse (talk) 15:53, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks! Shall we split them 50:50? I'm working on something else, so let me know when you've done what you can and I'll get the rest. WP:WikiProject_Disambiguation thanks you. --AndrewHowse (talk) 16:04, 4 January 2008 (UTC)

Your edit summary usage
Hi there. When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:
The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.
Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field. If you are adding a section, please do not just keep the previous section's header in the Edit summary field - please fill in your new section's name instead. Thank you. Colours Userbox page
Hi - I like your new colours userbox page. I was just wondering if you were going to move the colour-oriented users boxes that are currently at Wikipedia:Userboxes/Interests#Colours onto your new page? There seems to be a bit of an overlap right now. - Ahunt (talk) 20:42, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks for your note. I would suggest, since your new page is listed on the main box, that you collect up the content from both those pages and move it to your newly created page. No point in having three places to find that all! I don't think anyone will mind you moving user boxes off the "misc" page. It is kind of a catch-all until a more specific place for categories of user boxes is created. - Ahunt (talk) 21:58, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
- I should add that perhaps the best way to deal with the other page you found is to ensure that all the content is on the new page and then make it a "redirect" instead. Not need to request a page deletion, then. - Ahunt (talk) 22:00, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
First... Thanks for the Barnstar! Second, the St. Louis Rams WikiProject is definitely something I am interesting in helping with. I have done some cleanup on The Tackle and Leonard Little as well as keep an eye on other Rams-related pages. I will check in with the project page for target WP pages. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Roscoestl (talk • contribs) 02:04, 31 January 2008 (UTC)

Thanks. I would have updated it myself but I didn't have time. BTW, it looks really good. Who you rooting for in the super bowl ? RC-0722 communicator/kills 18:43, 3 February 2008 (UTC)
- Know what you mean. I'm rooting for the Giants too, just because I don't like the pats. Now this is going to a bit spectulative, but if the Giants had a healthy LJ, this super bowl would be a lot different. RC-0722 communicator/kills 19:01, 3 February 2008 (UTC)

- Yeah, but our problem is we don't have a clear starter at quaterback. I mean, Damon Huard and Brodie Croyle are good, but they ain't great. I think we should draft somebody like Matt Flynn. RC-0722 communicator/kills 19:33, 3 February 2008 (UTC)

Re: Rams
Well, if you can find me who specifically holds executive positions within the team (i.e. President, Vice Chairman, Chairman, CEO, etc.) that'd be great. That's what we're really looking for in the template -- not who owns what share of the team. Pats1 T/C 01:20, 24 April 2008 (UTC)
St. Louis Rams template question
Hi, Pinkkeith. I noticed that back on January 26th you converted {{St. Louis Rams}} into the navbox format. Was there any pushback regarding your doing that? It seems that the navbox is a far more vertical space friendly format than the fb start/end/inner, etc. format that most of the NFL teams' templates use. Just curious if there were any complaints. --Gwguffey (talk) 04:08, 7 May 2008 (UTC)
- Great to hear. I've touched base with the other editors who have made this same change to the other nfl team templates and, so far, no one has caught any flack. Thanks for taking time to get back to me on this. --Gwguffey (talk) 15:32, 7 May 2008 (UTC)
- As for your statement about the Rams season and coaches templates, my personal opinion is that the Seasons template could go away easily as those are all ram-specific topics. As for the coaches, I think that one should stay as coaches articles are about the individual, and for everyone but the current coach, they are only connected via having held the position previously, not by current involvement with the franchise. For example, it seems to make much more sense for the Mike Martz article to have the Rams Coach template there than it would to have the Rams franchise template there on his page. Does that make any sense? Not sure I'm being very clear.
- Also, information about the template deletion process is located at WP:TFD. --Gwguffey (talk) 16:06, 7 May 2008 (UTC)
- (a bit more) I just looked at Lovie Smith and Dick Jauron and the Bears still have a separate head coach template located at {{BearsCoach}}. --Gwguffey (talk) 16:12, 7 May 2008 (UTC)
Fan Fiction templating
You are getting a little over-enthusiastic here. Not all of science fiction fandom's history is related to fan fiction in the modern sense. The Dorsai Irregulars, for example, have never been connected to fanfic in any way, even though they are based near Lansing, Michigan, home of MediaWest. --Orange Mike | Talk 21:32, 29 May 2008 (UTC)
- Some of these (and again I will mention the Irregulars as an extreme example) have no relationship to Fan Fiction. Fanfic fandom came out of traditional SF fandom, so there's a historical relationship there (and some overlap; my wife spent this past weekend at MediaWest, and I'm orangemike at TTH too). --Orange Mike | Talk 23:55, 29 May 2008 (UTC)
Speedy deletion of Bud Cooper
A tag has been placed on Bud Cooper requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Bstone (talk) 18:10, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
Hi Pinkkeith. In cases where the tag is obviously wrong, I think you could get away with removing it yourself, even though the rules tell authors not to do this. Friday (talk) 20:18, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
