Kate_Shemirani

I've no idea how to edit protected pages, so I'll leave it to you. https://www.holistichealthshow.com/tag/kate-shemirani/

As well as the additional biographical info in that link, she married Iranian Faramarz Shemirani in 1996. All cross referenced by public records available on Familysearch etc.

One of her daughters has also been happy to be interviewed for the press on other matters, but probably best to leave her out of it? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 194.207.191.9 (talkcontribs) 20:23, 25 July 2021 (UTC)

I'll copy this to the article's talk page; for future reference you can make such requests on talk pages, suing the {{edit protected}} template. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 19:29, 26 July 2021 (UTC)

Pronouns

Hi, I noticed that when I hovered over your username on a Wikipedia project talk page it displays the pronouns you prefer to be named by right along with the user rights you've been granted and other user groups you belong to. Can you tell me how to do this for my username please? Thanks. Huggums537 (talk) 16:21, 30 July 2021 (UTC)

@Huggums537: Select "Preferences" (top right, in the default desktop view) while logged in. On the first screen, look for "Gender used in messages", about half-way down. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 16:36, 30 July 2021 (UTC)
Hmm. I have done that. Doesn't appear to be working for me. Huggums537 (talk) 17:58, 30 July 2021 (UTC)
Ok, nevermind. It does work if you choose he/him or she/her, but simply displays nothing at all if you choose to be gender neutral so I thought it wasn't working. It should at least say they/them to let you know it works. That's so biased. Huggums537 (talk) 18:12, 30 July 2021 (UTC)
Not everyone who is gender neutral, or who defines as non-binary, uses "they/them", though. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 20:49, 30 July 2021 (UTC)
Pigsonthewing, yeah, I realize that now. I should have said that it should at least say, "Gender unspecified". Huggums537 (talk) 00:17, 31 July 2021 (UTC)

Administrators' newsletter – July 2021

News and updates for administrators from the past month (July 2021).

Guideline and policy news

  • An RfC is open to add a delay of one week from nomination to deletion for G13 speedy deletions.

Technical news

  • Last week all wikis were very slow or not accessible for 30 minutes. This was due to server lag caused by regenerating dynamic lists on the Russian Wikinews after a large bulk import. (T287380)

Hi Pigsonthewing, I unlinked them because I very much doubt they will qualify for the notability criteria and earn their own artice but I could be wrong, so point taken. Thanks Pyeongchang (talk) 18:38, 12 August 2021 (UTC)
