Wikipedia:Templates for discussion/Log/2019 July 29#Template:Infobox India district

You were the second contributor - the creator did not edit since 2018 - to a template that is now discussed at Wikipedia:Templates for discussion/Log/2019 July 29#Template:Infobox India district. 78.55.29.138 (talk) 16:30, 29 July 2019 (UTC)

Wikipedia:Templates for discussion/Log/2013 July 13#Template:Infobox province or territory of Canada

I have not seen that when I posted my TfD. It is so weird that such discussions for two types of entities covering 13 articles exist. And you even addressed indention in comments, as I did today, and now was pointed to WP:ASPERSIONS. Is there any higher level venue to address such micro-usage infoboxes? 77.183.70.51 (talk) 14:59, 31 July 2019 (UTC)

Infobox settlement - template protection hindering improvements

Could you help? Template_talk:Infobox_settlement#Solution

This is needed for the Russian templates and Infobox US state.

Further changes needed for the Canadian one, where the person that made the conversion to a wrapper now opposes replacement because his pollutions of fields still exist. I can work on the Canada stuff, but other stuff was first in the line and now there is no progress. 77.183.97.66 (talk) 19:18, 3 August 2019 (UTC)

Administrators' newsletter – August 2019

News and updates for administrators from the past month (July 2019).

Guideline and policy news

Arbitration

Miscellaneous

  • Following a research project on masking IP addresses, the Foundation is starting a new project to improve the privacy of IP editors. The result of this project may significantly change administrative and counter-vandalism workflows. The project is in the very early stages of discussions and there is no concrete plan yet. Admins and the broader community are encouraged to leave feedback on the talk page.
  • The new page reviewer right is bundled with the admin tool set. Many admins regularly help out at Special:NewPagesFeed, but they may not be aware of improvements, changes, and new tools for the Curation system. Stay up to date by subscribing here to the NPP newsletter that appears every two months, and/or putting the reviewers' talk page on your watchlist.

Since the introduction of temporary user rights, it is becoming more usual to accord the New Page Reviewer right on a probationary period of 3 to 6 months in the first instance. This avoids rights removal for inactivity at a later stage and enables a review of their work before according the right on a permanent basis.
