User talk:Piave137piaui94
Hello, I'm Daniel Case. I wanted to let you know that I removed one or more external links you added, because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thank you. Hello DanielCase.
I left a message for you on Elassint's user talk for I could not on your "user talk" since it is protected. Also note that Daniel Case does not come up in each article's "View history" bur Elassint did. That is why I left the message on that particular "User Talk".
Hoping that you receive this message, I remain
Yours sincerely,

To Whom It May Concern:
Before removing my contributions, I would suggest you read my message that was left on Elassint's page. My contributions--"inforapid" links--are found in other Wikipedia articles and were made operable by other Wikipedia administrators; their actions also suggest that including them in articles have already been vetted by Wikipedia. My additions provide information which help enhance each article's subject and may also prompt the viewers/readers to do further research, etc; they are also insightful for they show a subject's connectedness to others (e.g., people, entities, ideas, etc.).

Inforapid links
[edit]Hi Piave137piaui94, I read your reasoning on Elassint's talk page regarding the addition of Inforapid links in articles. Unfortunately, these links do not meet the guidelines on a number of points. These links are essentially a mirror to Wikipedia articles. I've investigated several of them and they are clearly out-of-date, so my guess is that these are either infrequently updated, or, worse, static since they were published. This is not only undesirable but fails our guidelines on not linking to mirror sites. I believe Inforapid is also only indirectly related to the article content: all that is directly relevant is the central search term. All other content is contained within the article and with more context. There are also some other, more minor ways, in which the links are inappropriate. While I appreciate your reasoning, I believe inforapid's main use lies in assisting content creators, not in furthering a reader's understanding.
There are other articles with inforapid links, you are right - things slip through. I will make sure they are removed. Julia\talk 23:25, 21 March 2014 (UTC)
