He/she can remove things from their talk page if they wish. Please don't revert. – Connormah (talk) 03:16, 22 January 2012 (UTC)
- Got it, however when I ran into trouble in the past, notices were left and every time I removed it, it was reinserted, it was only after a few months I was able to remove it without anyone stopping me, I assumed this was policy, sorry I misunderstood. – Phoenix B 1of3 (talk) 03:23, 22 January 2012 (UTC)
You really shouldn't do this sort of thing without a discussion at the talk page of the article it's been redirected to, in this cse Talk:Gavin Menzies. The book is extensively covered in the author's article, and ironically was just raised to B class. You should also be aware that if we removed the redirect we would also have to rewrite Menzies article. The redirect wasn't done by just one editor and shouldn't be undone by just one editor. I hope you understand these reasons for my reinstating the redirect and if after reading Menzies article still believe you were right that you seek consensus at Talk:Gavin Menzies. Thanks. Dougweller (talk) 05:59, 22 January 2012 (UTC)
- I wasn't aware of that, I just noticed in the history it was suddenly an abruptly redirected by one user back in may of 2010, and that another user began an edit war, I assumed one just gave up. Now that I see the section on the book in the article Gavin Menzies covers a fair amount of the topic, I will leave things as they are for now, perhaps in the future I will be able to improve upon and rewrite the article 1421: The Year China Discovered the World to be of unbiased encyclopedic value. – Phoenix B 1of3 (talk) 17:28, 22 January 2012 (UTC)
