Maybe you should check the Pedro Feliz article i just edited to make it true for his first season, before it was a (.001) Batting Average, Over 60,000,000 Home runs, and who knows what else, please write back — Preceding unsigned comment added by PhilliesPhan22 (talk • contribs)
Hello PhilliesPhan22 and welcome to Wikipedia. It's really a great place and I'm sorry that your first experiences were negative. Codedon was indefinitely blocked for trolling and will never be allowed to edit again. Below is my standard welcome message; enjoy:
Welcome to Wikipedia!—(We can't say that loud enough!)
I'm Mono, one of the thousands of editors here at Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I'm sure you'll like the place and decide to stay.
Get started quickly:
You don't need to read anything - anybody can edit; just go to an article and edit it. Be Bold, but please don't put silly stuff in - it will be removed very quickly, and will annoy people.
Ask for help. Talk to us live, or edit this page, put {{helpme}} and describe what help you need. Someone will reply very quickly - usually within a few minutes.
Edit existing articles, before you make your own. Look at some subjects that you know about, and see if you can make them a bit better.
When you're ready, read about Your first article. It should be about something well-known, and it will need references.
Good luck with editing; please drop me a line some time on my own talk page.
If you'd like some mentoring from an experienced editor, head over to the Adopt-a-user page, where editors will guide you, answering all your questions and helping you along! I've adopted several users and they've had an excellent experience and are excelling editors.
Here are some tips and links to get you going:
Remember to sign your posts with 4 tildes (~~~~) which produces your username and the date!
Type {{helpme}} here on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions.
Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, such as on User talk:PhilliesPhan22, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. mono00:30, 19 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
