I made a legit change and you called it vandalism and warned me

I made a legit change, with true info. With the own site as it's source and cited it. You warned me and called it vandalism. I would like to know why. Thank you 2603:6000:8C05:E327:6C4E:E1C5:D1E3:6FC5 (talk) 20:42, 6 March 2023 (UTC)

YOU REVERTED ONE OF MY CONTRIBUTIONS

Why did you revert my contribution and called it unconstruvtive Joe120p (talk) 20:52, 8 March 2023 (UTC)

Permission to remove a particular content from Communism article

Hello, I want to take the permission before I make this edit. I want to remove North Korea's name from Communism article because North Korean poltics is different from communist that's Judge ideology which have technically developed from their past Communism and doesnot fall in the Communism's basis. Informer3 (talk) 03:52, 21 March 2023 (UTC)

Informer3 you should discuss that change at the article's talk page before making it. Also next time you make a change like this, it's good practice to use an edit summary. Philipnelson99 (talk) 04:01, 21 March 2023 (UTC)

Dispute resolution

Hi, I noticed some of your comments about dispute resolution and WP:DRN at ANI, and I thought you might be able to point me into the right direction to resolve a content dispute I'm having at Christian Dior.

First, as I mentioned on the article Talk page, I rarely get involved in content disputes, partly because it then prevents me from acting administratively, and partly because they tend to be protracted, and I'm not a fan of long discussions. Also, they are rarely completely civil. I don't mean that they are necessarily blatantly nasty, but the more strongly editors feel about the issues the more likely they are to slip into aggression - and I am not immune to such behavior, either.

Second, if it's a one-on-one dispute, I give up rather quickly if it seems that the other editor is entrenched, for whatever reason. I then usually just let it go because I don't feel like spending my time or energy on these problems.

All that said, in this particular instance I want to consider "escalating" it. I know there are various methods of dispute resolution. The question is which is the best one for this dispute, and which is most likely to succeed. That is where I seek your input. I lean toward first trying the LGBT project. I'm not sure how many projects there are that involve LGBT content, but it looks like Wikipedia:WikiProject LGBT studies is best; am I right about that? If that doesn't work, perhaps an RfC. I'm not real confident that this dispute would be resolved at DRN or through 3O. Anyway, what are your views on all this? Sorry for the length of this post. Thanks.--Bbb23 (talk) 15:22, 21 March 2023 (UTC)

Hey there Bbb23, I appreciate you coming to me. Firstly, I want to say that I'm glad you are seeking out a venue to solve the dispute. Disputes between two editors are extraordinarily difficult because as you pointed out, it's just someone's opinion against the other's, that's okay! I think WP:30 is best suited for this because it exists to give a third opinion on a matter. The WP:WikiProject LGBT studies might be a good venue if discussion at WP:30 is unproductive, but I think you could also try WP:WikiProject Biography too. WP:DRN is best suited for content disputes involving three or more editors. I don't believe this dispute is anything beyond content, so if all other options fail, you can go there. WP:ANI is a drama board, and I know you are aware of that so I would try to exhaust all others (there are likely other venues I'm forgetting) before heading there. I hope that helps! Never had an admin come to me asking for help and that's pretty special that you are willing to step back from the admin role in order to fulfill the understanding editor role.
Sorry for the wall of text :) Philipnelson99 (talk) 15:42, 21 March 2023 (UTC)
I never considered - or would consider - ANI for this. Thanks for your input. I'll think about it some more.--Bbb23 (talk) 15:45, 21 March 2023 (UTC)
Bbb23, I didn't mean to imply that you had considered it, sorry if it came off otherwise. Good luck! Philipnelson99 (talk) 15:52, 21 March 2023 (UTC)

death sections on Alive people

how is stating a famous person is still alive with a light quip about what they are best known for unconstructive? that was very constructive imo on what that user said 159.118.236.219 (talk) 22:05, 23 March 2023 (UTC)

@159.118.236.219 could you point me to which revert you were referring to? I make many reverts of unconstructive content and I'm not sure which account or IP this edit was made with. Philipnelson99 (talk) 22:12, 23 March 2023 (UTC)
Philip, you can't ping an IP.--Bbb23 (talk) 22:57, 23 March 2023 (UTC)
@Bbb23 thanks! I didn't mean to! I was replying from the Wikipedia app and it did that by default, my bad. I'll leave a TalkBack on their talk page when I'm back at my desk Philipnelson99 (talk) 23:12, 23 March 2023 (UTC)

Randomized controlled trial

Hello @Philipnelson99 You are asking for a source regarding the 2 sentences I added on https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Randomized_controlled_trial but these 2 sentences are just a clarification: Many people think that randomness and blinding are synonym of quality. It is misleading: they are tools and need to be used correctly in order to ensure quality. For example, you can randomly select within a population but poorly select this population regarding the factors you want to control and you'll obtain poor results. So it is important to note that they are not synonym of quality. AlexVal75 (talk) 02:48, 26 March 2023 (UTC)

@AlexVal75, you need to source that claim, otherwise it sounds like original research. Philipnelson99 (talk) 02:49, 26 March 2023 (UTC)
OK, I have republished with a reference. AlexVal75 (talk) 23:26, 26 March 2023 (UTC)
Strange. Change seems reverted again besides reference. Seems like there are some fans of random == quality. AlexVal75 (talk) 02:02, 27 March 2023 (UTC)

Reverted one of my edits

You keep reverting my edits to the article Resident Evil 5. You continue to say I'm not providing sources, but I also told that the same section provides the sources and quotes. You said I added personal comnentary but that's not true, I simply added a basic and objective fact, the game is made by a Japanese perspective, not Western. Please, will you leave me continue work alone now? 151.68.13.242 (talk) 02:02, 28 March 2023 (UTC)

Reverted a correction

I corrected the subtitle in the canister shot page that said language when it referred to the langrage shot, however you changed it back. Sorry for the disturbance but I do believe it is incorrect. I hope you have a nice day, thanks Songthela (talk) 02:50, 28 March 2023 (UTC)

@Songthela, it was, hence me undoing my edit. Sorry about that. Philipnelson99 (talk) 02:52, 28 March 2023 (UTC)
All good, I didn't catch you doing that before sorry. Thanks Songthela (talk) 02:53, 28 March 2023 (UTC)

Reverted edits on Dro Kenji page although I credited sources

I added some biography changes to Dro Kenji's Wiki page that I provided a clear source for and you reverted it for some reason? Also, I edited in his complete discography that is facts, it's what is shown on every streaming service and every project/single/EP that he has advertised. I'm sure you had to have reverted it by mistake as I'm not sure a trusted member could see the work I did and think it's all false without looking it up yourself. Please get back to me if you reverted it by accident somehow or some other reason. Locust member (talk) 02:36, 28 March 2023 (UTC)

@Locust member I reverted the edit because you censored the album name which is unnecessary, I apologize for the rollback. That was unintentional. Philipnelson99 (talk) 02:42, 28 March 2023 (UTC)

I see. I did it that way as that's how it's stylized on all streaming services and when he was promoting the album. Is it possible if you could revert the changes back as all of the rest were correct to my knowledge if possible? If you do I'll un-censor the name, thanks! Locust member (talk) 02:48, 28 March 2023 (UTC)

@Locust member: If that's the way it's display on streaming services then it's likely WP:CENSOR doesn't apply. I'll restore the version prior to my revert. Sorry about that. Philipnelson99 (talk) 02:50, 28 March 2023 (UTC)

All good dude I understand the confusion! Thanks for understanding, I appreciate it! Have a good rest of your night! Locust member (talk) 02:54, 28 March 2023 (UTC)

You reverted one of my edits

Hi Philip, hope you're well nickname on Kerry FC reverted by you. Just gone through the whole of the league of Ireland premier and first divisions, no sources for other nicknames so a bit unusual to put a source reference there it doesnt look good or normal. Here's one twitter post I found about it straight off the bat https://twitter.com/anwar_gouda/status/1639653381156249605?s=20

Please leave nickname alone.

Have a great day Pjgalway (talk) 21:40, 27 March 2023 (UTC)

@Pjgalway I really think you should source it and cover it in the article. Just my two cents and other editors removed it as well. Philipnelson99 (talk) 21:41, 27 March 2023 (UTC)
I think the last edit reason really does speak for itself. If they want to remove it, alienating their fan base then let them remove it. Pjgalway (talk) 22:06, 27 March 2023 (UTC)
@Pjgalway if you change it again, I won't change it back. Philipnelson99 (talk) 22:09, 27 March 2023 (UTC)
Thanks Philip, I added a source as suggested in any case Pjgalway (talk) 11:40, 28 March 2023 (UTC)

@HotMess it's standard practice to notify page creators. I just didn't realize it was a legitimate redirect, and that's why I quickly undid my notification and csd tag on the redirect. Philipnelson99 (talk) 20:44, 31 March 2023 (UTC)
