Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Mieh Mieh, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Southern District (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi, It is my first time I post an article on Wikipedia. Rashid Girgis Semaan died longtime ago, and as an honor to him, a poet in my hometown of Mieh Mieh Lebanon, Dr. Munif Moussa, wrote an article about Rashid. This article was translated into English and was posted on Miehwmieh.com website by Dr. Charles Bousaba (my cousin). I included the source at the bottom what more should I do? I look forward to hearing from you. Regards, Phil

Hi, Phil. First of all, I apologize for my carelessness in thinking that this article was a BLP. However, it still has two serious issues which convince me that it is not ready for inclusion yet. The most obvious problem is the unconventional font used in the article, which seems to have been copied and pasted from another source and needs to be changed to the standard typeface used for Wikipedia articles. My greater concern, though, is the lack of reliable sources. Wikipedia's notability guideline for biographies states that notability requires multiple, secondary sources that are independent of the subject; a single translation of one article in a hometown newspaper is not enough. I hope this helps. All the best, Miniapolis (talk) 16:17, 27 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Miniapolis,

I have created this in Microsoft Word, copied and pasted from there. As far as, get more sources, good luck. I will guarantee you that once it is posted I will get a lot of people to verify that by rating the article. People in my hometown in Lebanon and especially myself, want to do something for Rashid because he was a good hearted man. Child like. All of his relatives now live in California (300+) I would greatly appreciate it if you can provide me with another channel to obtain secondary sources other than us individuals are bringing him back to life. Thank you. Phil

Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a popularity contest or a web-hosting service. Articles are not included and then voted on; they are assessed according to WP's core policies and guidelines, and articles are not accepted for inclusion unless they meet these basic guidelines. While I appreciate the fact that you want to "do something" for Rashid, Wikipedia articles require significant coverage (more than one article) in reliable sources that are independent of the subject. WP:NOTMEMORIAL states, "Wikipedia is not the place to memorialize deceased friends, relatives, acquaintances, or others who do not meet such requirements." Miniapolis (talk) 15:07, 28 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

thanks.

Hi I have a quick question. What steps do I need to take to change an official name for an article to the correct spelling? for example, Mieh Mieh my hometown overseas should be written as Mîyé Ou Mîyé. The reason I want to do this, is I want to link facebook to Wikipedia. Please do not change, I would greatly appreciate it if you can tell me the steps.

THanks Philippe

Thank you for your recent contributions, such as Majdelyoun. Getting started creating new articles on Wikipedia can be tricky, and you might like to try creating a draft version first, which you can then ask for feedback on if necessary, with less risk of deletion. Do make sure you also read help available to you, including Your First Article and the Tutorial. You might also like to try the Article Wizard, which has an option to create a draft version. Thank you. Cindy(talk) 13:38, 21 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm IronGargoyle. I noticed that you recently removed all content from Majdelyoun, with this edit, without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, I restored the page's content. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. IronGargoyle (talk) 21:03, 23 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you very much for the review of majdelyoun. I am philbous. Can you please remove the redirect from majdelyoun to sidon district when I go and search under google for majdelyoun you see it as a link; when you click it it redirects your to sidon district. Majdelyoun is a town within the Sidon District. It should not be redirected to any page. Please help me with this. Thanks.

Hello Philbous. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "Rashid Girgis Semaan".

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Rashid Girgis Semaan}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, click "Save", and an administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. HasteurBot (talk) 08:01, 29 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Given the criteria I think I will let you delete "Rashid Girgis Semaan" article. I have a question for you, how can I go about of changing an article from one name to another? Thank you for your help. for example: Mieh Mieh to Miye ou Miye. Please give me a heads up first.

Information icon Hello! Thank you for your recent contributions to Arine Sports Club. I did have one note for you. I am working on a maintenance project to clean up Category:Pages using infoboxes with thumbnail images. In the future, please do not use thumbnails when adding images to an infobox (see WP:INFOBOXIMAGE). What does this mean? Well in the infobox, when you specify the image you wish to use, instead of doing it like this:

|image=[[File:SomeImage.jpg|thumb|Some image caption]]

Instead just supply the name of the image. So in this case you can simply do:

|image=SomeImage.jpg.

There will then be a separate parameter for the image caption such as |caption=Some image caption. Please note that this is a generic form message I am leaving on your page because you recently added a thumbnail to an infobox. The specific parameters for the image and caption may be different for the infobox you are using! Please consult the Template page for the infobox being used to see better documentation. Thanks!! Dear KATMARKOFAN, Can you please tell me what are the items of concern, in order for me to fix them? This article is very crucial. I am translating it from Arabic, where all of his work is done... Keep in mind, the code of writing that is used in autobiographies in the first and second world countries, is very hard to be applied to third world countries. Especially, since they do not publish a lot of their work online. I am trying very hard to meet the international criteria. Please give me little time and I will take care of it.
