Merseyrail: lines?
[edit]Hi
Thanks for coming up with a better word than 'line' for describing the M'rail Northern Line - 'route' is much less ambiguous. But is it worth finding a better word than 'services' when describing the Northern and Wirral Lines? To me, 'service' means either a specific train operation (the 0800 service from A-town to B-ville) or sometimes all the trains between given points (Red Rail no longer operate the A-town to B-ville service) - and given that both the Northern and Wirral Lines branch, that doesn't feel like a service but a collection of services.
I've got to admit that apart from 'line' I can't think of a good term - but I'm fairly sure that 'service' isn't the best word out there!
Thanks! Grblundell (talk) 14:21, 30 December 2020 (UTC)
- I can see your point, 'service' might not be the best term when there are multiple branches. Maybe 'route' would fit there as well. --PhiH (talk) 15:21, 30 December 2020 (UTC)
- I've tried to put something together. Feel free to replace/improve! Grblundell (talk) 10:58, 31 December 2020 (UTC)
Portsmouth line
[edit]Since the redirect has been re-targeted in the last 24 hours I'm not sure this is a G6. What do you want to do with the title?©Geni (talk) 03:32, 30 January 2021 (UTC)
- As I have said, I want to move the article to the more common name. LB&SCR is an unnecessary disambiguation. See WP:G6: This is for uncontroversial maintenance, including: Deleting redirects or other pages blocking page moves. --PhiH (talk) 06:46, 30 January 2021 (UTC)
- Fair enough. Done.©Geni (talk) 10:02, 30 January 2021 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for May 18
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Crossrail, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Heathrow Terminal 4 station. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
