[edit]Hello, I'm Netherzone. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Unisphere have been undone because they appeared to be promotional. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted; Wikipedia articles should be written objectively, using independent sources, and from a neutral perspective. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. Netherzone (talk) 20:00, 12 June 2021 (UTC)
Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to George Willig. While objective prose about beliefs, organisations, people, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Please stop using Wikipedia to advertise Paul Hornstein's film. It's an encyclopedia, not a platform for promotion. Netherzone (talk) 21:24, 12 June 2021 (UTC)
Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to add promotional or advertising material to Wikipedia, as you did at Unisphere, you may be blocked from editing. Netherzone (talk) 23:38, 12 June 2021 (UTC)
Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions did not appear to be constructive and have been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use your sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you use Wikipedia for promotion or advertising, as you did at Unisphere. Please stop using Wikipedia to promote your student film, "The Third Stone" by Paul Hornstein. It is pretty clear that you have an undisclosed conflict of interest. Netherzone (talk) 18:30, 14 June 2021 (UTC)
You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you remove or blank page content or templates from Wikipedia without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary, as you did at Unisphere. Hydrogenation (talk) 15:52, 22 June 2021 (UTC)
Managing a conflict of interest
[edit]Hello, Phfilm08. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Unisphere, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. It seems that your only purpose here is to add the name of Paul Hornstein to the encyclopedia. What is your connection to Paul Hornstein, User:Phfilm08? Wikipedia is never to be used for promotion or advertising. Netherzone (talk) 21:20, 12 June 2021 (UTC)
- Editing while logged out to keep adding back unsourced material about a non-notable short student film by a non-notable filmmaker is not permitted. Please stop the disruptive editing, or you may lose your editing privileges. Thank you. Netherzone (talk) 13:00, 13 June 2021 (UTC)

- Hello Phfilm08, and thank you for your message. I'm sorry you are disappointed, but please understand that the encyclopedia can't include every bit of trivia on every subject. The text you keep adding is unsourced, and has been unsourced since it was first added to the article. Our policy states: "All content must be verifiable. The burden to demonstrate verifiability lies with the editor who adds or restores material, and it is satisfied by providing an inline citation to a verifiable reliable source that directly supports the contribution." The policy goes on to state: "Any material lacking an inline citation to a reliable source that directly supports the material may be removed and should not be restored without an inline citation to a reliable source." The content you keep adding is for a non-notable student film by a non-notable filmmaker (by WP criteria for notability). There is no indication that the film, nor the filmmaker, is in the permanent collection of MoMA:[1],[2]. Please understand that it's inappropriate to use the encyclopedia for promotion or advertising. I hope that helps explain the reasons for the revert. Best regards, Netherzone (talk) 20:34, 13 June 2021 (UTC)
- Phfilm08 I did a little more research, and the first insertion was in May 2015, not "10 years ago", made by an anonymous IP editor from a range in Rhode Island. That edit was promotional, unsourced, and broke the article formatting. Interestingly, the more recent IP that added back your edits were from the same RI range. It seems that you (the logged in account) are not here to build an encyclopedia because all of your edits indicate that you are only here to promote Paul Hornstein and his films. Please disclose if you have a connection to the film or to the filmmaker Paul Hornstein. Thank you. Netherzone (talk) 22:17, 13 June 2021 (UTC)

Unblock account with facts not political statements!
[edit]Only facts about the Unisphere sculpture should be on the page. Not politics personal facts or being in a theatrical production of any king. The Unisphere is a sculptor so just the structure should be mentioned. You are eliminating other cultural facts that have be public for decades. Just the subject not political statements. You must abide by your own rules. Just Unisphere facts! Phfilm08 (talk) 19:30, 22 June 2021 (UTC)
