My RfA

[edit]

Another admirer

[edit]

This account was just created: User:Phaedriel, I love you. :D Sango123 (talk) 14:28, 20 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Better to be loved than hated I guess, but still, a little creepy. I'd be creeped out already! But Phaedriel, be of good cheer: For every creepy stalker out there, there are a hundred or more of us out there keeping an eye out... ++Lar: t/c 15:38, 20 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Lol, guys... I know no harm will ever come to me while you're around - I doubt many girls can boast of having so many knights in shiny armor! ;) Just for the record, I'm both flattered and slightly shocked... and a little creeped out at that kind gentleman's expression of love myself! Thank you all for keeping an eye on me, my friends. It means a lot to me. Huggz! Phædriel tell me - 22:56, 20 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Have you seen WP:TOE? You're like, one of the worst offenders of this "policy". LOL ++Lar: t/c 20:06, 20 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No Marriage proposals?! Come off it, it only has to be a matter of time before we get the first wiki wedding :) --kingboyk 13:59, 28 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

My RfA

[edit]
Thank you for your support of my request for adminship. I'm delighted that the RfA ultimately succeeded with a final consensus of 52/1/0, so I am now an administrator. If you ever have any comments regarding my editing, or I can help you at any point in the future, please feel free to leave a message on my talk page. Again, thank you!

Beautiful

[edit]

You look beautiful. Forgive me but I had to comment only this one time. I guess all Wikipedians are beautiful.(UNFanatic)

I was wondering if in the near future you could help with my userpage design to make it look a lot friendlier. I hope it is not too much to ask.(UNFanatic)

I have to agree, incidentally. ;) —Nightstallion (?) 19:59, 22 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

My RFA

[edit]

Thank you for supporting me in my successful RFA. The admin tools will definitely be useful for dealing with vandalism more swiftly. Please drop a note on my talk page, should you have questions about any of my actions. --Aude (talk | contribs) 01:32, 23 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Wikilove

[edit]

Hi there. Just wanted to let you know that last night, after dealing with a particularly obnoxious editor (friend of yours?) and just about on the verge of quitting Wikipedia, I ended up at your user page from a link on his talk page and you helped me feel a whole lot better. With a lot of the things I work on, sometimes it seems like there's nothing but vandals, trolls, and angry people on Wikipedia. It's nice to see exceptions to that. Anyway, thanks for helping me feel like I can hang in there a little longer. It's much appreciated. Kafziel 16:31, 23 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Just read your article on the user page. "Wikilove" is probably a bit strong for a grouchy male like me, but how can sharing knowledge and learning from others be anything other than a happy experience? :-) --kingboyk 13:53, 28 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

new RfA

[edit]

Hi Phaedriel/Sharon!

First and foremost, I must express my thanks for your support during my first RfA. Due to a highly disturbing surge in opposing votes after the submission closed, it has been resubmitted. Unfortunately, it looks as though are large number of opposing voters have appeared and I would be extremely surprised if my new RfA passed... which is fairly disheartening considering that I was around 1 hour from succeeding last time!

In any case - it has been an interesting experience - one thing I can take from it is that someone with a clear thought process should learn to control the focus of their views. As I am wholly unable to pretend I do not have a clear POV, I doubt I will apply for adminship again. It seems fairly clear from this second submission that I am better off sticking to what I do best! Especially considering that I am "not yet a wikipedian"!

Anyway, many warm thanks for your support, and don't hesitate to give me a shout if you ever need my assistance for anything in particular.

Regards, DJR (Talk) 19:42, 23 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

With apologies for the impersonal AWB-ness of the message... Thanks for your support on my recent request for adminship. It passed at 91/1/0, and I hope I can continue to deserve the community's trust. Let me know if there's anything I can do to help you, and if I make a mistake be sure to tell me. My talk page is always open. (ESkog)(Talk) 02:20, 24 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Dylan

[edit]

Hey. I left a message on the page of your friend Bbatsell, but you seem to have a lot of barnstars for designing people's pages! I would really like to have a nice looking page to represent me, but I'm a very busy junior who barely has time read, let alone edit. I would be thrilled if you would help me and collaborate on me with this! I also admire your work on Wikilove, and would like to know if just anyone can join the Esperanza movement...

Please email me! [1]

--CivilCasualty 05:04, 24 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Edit: I'm sorry, I didn't see on your main page that you weren't taking more requests. You'll have to forgive me, it was quite lengthy, and not until now did i read it. Anyways, best of luck with whatever put you on wikibreak ... and by he way, I noticed you're an Esperanza ... Can I just join, or do I have to be nominated, or request it, or what?

Thanks for your voting!

[edit]
Thanks!
Thanks!
Hi, thanks for your voting on my RFA. It has finished with the result 88/14/9, and I am promoted. I am really overwhelmed with the amount of support I have got. With some of you we have edited many articles as a team, with some I had bitter arguments in the past, some of you I consider to be living legends of Wikipedia and some nicks I in my ignorance never heard before. I love you all and I am really grateful to you.

If you feel I can help you or Wikipedia as a human, as an editor or with my newly acquired cleaning tools, then just ask and I will be happy to assist. If you will feel that I do not live up to your expectation and renegade on my promises, please contact me. Maybe it was not a malice but just ignorance or a short temper. Thank you very much, once more! abakharev 07:34, 24 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks!

I just wanted to say thank you for voting for my RFA, of course if you ever need a hand, let me know :) - cohesiontalk 23:08, 25 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

"Puerto Rico's 'Did you know?'"

Somebody nominated "Did You Know?-Puerto Rico" for deletion. You could express your opinion here: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Did You Know - Puerto Rico. Thank you, Tony the Marine 01:59, 26 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Well...

[edit]

...since you said "messages...would be appreciated", here is one :) . How are you doing? Are you interested in adminship sometime soonish? All the best Banez 11:43, 27 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

My final good-byes

[edit]

Hello Phaedriel. I came to tell all my friends, yes, that means you, that I am leaving Wikipedia. Thank you for being so kind to me during my stay on Wikipedia. I hope to speak with you again someday. I haven't spoken to you since I changed my user name, formerly SWD316, and I hope we are still on speaking terms. <hugs> Moe ε 05:48, 28 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hey?

Not to sound whiney, but I thought you said you were gonna put my poem in a special place? Not that I care though, cause the poem isn't that worthy of you anyway.... Well I'm off to work soon.... Hope you have a nice day... Spawn Man 01:05, 2 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Phaedriel/Archive 8 thank you for your support in my Rfa! It passed with a final tally of 86/0/0. If you need help or just want to talk let me know! Again, thank you! – Dakota ~ ° 16:27, 3 March 2006 (UTC) [reply]

Your vote on Karmafist's RfA

[edit]

I just wanted to say that I really thought your comments on Karmafist's RfA where so appropriate and truthful. I have yet to see an RfA vote of yours (or MONGO's) that I didn't agree with. Keep up the great work. Too bad that we couldn't stop the lynch mob naysayers on this one. --rogerd 23:24, 3 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

FYI

[edit]

Just to let you know, the problem with my page has been fixed; it was an issue with the wikipedian infobox, which had been slightly changed. Still, thanks! Take care, —Nightstallion (?) 10:47, 4 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Kingboyk reports he has the buttons, although it hasn't closed formally yet. So let me be the first to congratulate YOU on a successful nomination. An extremely nice, thoughtful and well written nomination is not a guarantee of success (a good candidate helps too!) but it certainly helped a lot in this case. Well played! Here's hoping you choose to nominate many more good candidates! Hugs. ++Lar: t/c 17:31, 4 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

How are you?

[edit]

Hi Phaedrial, I noticed we haven't reverted vandalism on each other's user pages lately since the vandals have all but stopped :( Oh well, hopefully we can get them going in the right direction. Hope wikipedia is going good for you. Talk to you later! --Pilotguy (talk ¦ ) 17:37, 4 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Heh, it should be el. Sorry! --Pilotguy (talk ¦ ) 17:38, 4 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

My RFA

[edit]

Dear Sharon, Thank you ever so much once again not only for nominating me in my recent RFA but for the very kind words you used. The RFA closed earlier this afternoon, and was successful - not quite unanimously but almost (53 for/1 weak oppose/2 neutral). I'll be sending out formal thanks when I get "a round tuit" (there's a Christmas present idea for you!). Cliche it may be but if you need any help from a man with a mop and a bucket don't hesisate to ask someone else me :) --kingboyk 18:14, 4 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Article categorisation tables

[edit]

A favour, did you create the categorization tables by hand in the IP of NA project page list ? Kingboyk and I have kicked off WikiProject The Beatles (cribbing from IP of NA heavily!!!) which has a LOT of articles to classify. I started Wikipedia:WikiProject The Beatles/Article Classification but creating the article tables by hand is a tres pain... If you know of a tool that works (either starting from a category, or a list of articles), a pointer to it would be greatly appreciated! (also, feel free to pop by the project with any comments you might have... I didn't leave you an invite box as I am not aware that the Fab Four are an area of interest for you) ++Lar: t/c 16:33, 5 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks ever so much for your message, dear sweet Phaedriel! Glad to hear there's a silver lining to your injury! I fear I may not have been clear enough though, above. it's not the categories themselves I was asking about (there are plenty created already) so much as the tables at the list of pages/articles... I COULD read what you said to say you just cranked the tables out by hand, but wanted to double check before I went off and wrote some code to generate them from all the Beatles categories out there... I did two categories worth of articles and it was annoyingly fiddly work! ++Lar: t/c 01:41, 6 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

RFA Thanks

[edit]
Thank you!
Thank you for your support in my recent RFA. It passed 53/1/2 and I am now an administrator. I appreciate that some of you made exceptions to your usual requirements re length of service and so on because we've interracted positively in the past, or because of my credentials, so I will endeavour to use my new mop cautiously. I'm always open to feedback and gently constructive criticism. If you're not an admin and need some assistance do of course please let me know. Thanks again --kingboyk 00:23, 6 March 2006 (UTC) [reply]

P.S. If you are interested in The Beatles, User:Lar has asked me to tag on a little note advertising the creation of a new Beatles WikiProject that we are currently setting up. Please sign up and help.
