Jacquet and Trictrac

Thank you for your help with these articles which I have translated from French Wikipedia with the help of your excellent website Le Salon des Jeux. I have nominated them for WP:Did You Know entries on Wikipedia's main page. See Talk:Jacquet (game) and Talk:Trictrac.

Is it still possible to buy a Trictrac board today? Where could I get one? Jacquet and Backgammon boards do not have the trous or the pavillon. Bermicourt (talk) 16:34, 30 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I'm the one to thank you for your interest in my "Académie des jeux oubliés" web site which is included now with my new "salondesjeux.fr" domain, in such a way that it will ensure better stability over time. I'll probably extend "Le Salon des jeux" to other topics but for the meantime I have to revise all the pages of "Académie des jeux oubliés"

The Trictrac board you can see on French Wikipedia is mine (I bought it from a friend). Before, I used a cheap Backgammon board to which I drilled the needed holes to play Trictrac. You can find Trictrac boards on Ebay, but more often Jacquet boards.

At first, I wrote about the Trictrac game on my web site (actually I didn't planned any extension to other games until, while searching for Trictrac ancient rules, I discovered the 18th century "Académie universelle des jeux" books). Then I called the web site after this title, adding "forgotten".

Later, I wrote the French Wikipedia's Trictrac article but in a different way.
