INSTRUCTOR FEEDBACK

[edit]

I generally like what you're doing here but please be careful to make sure people understand the ages of the different formations. I would encourage you to provide more information about the characteristics of the unconventional reservoir such as organic carbon content or anything else you can glean from the literature. It's my impression that this page simply needs expanding a little bit in terms of the amount of information you are providing. Be careful to get your spelling right and capitalize proper names and geological time periods. Pclift (talk) 17:41, 4 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

STUDENT FEEDBACK

[edit]

Overall a good page. It would be nice to see additional graphics of the system. Also consider splitting the formations into multiple parts, i.e. structural history, depositional history, formation properties. More information for the formation properties, like porosity, permeability, oil wet vs. water wet etc. would be great. It is also a little difficult to understand how a single formation serves as source, reservoir, and seal. It would be nice if you could explain this a little better. "The Lan Krabu and Chum Saeng Formations also function as both the source and the seal of the reservoir," this sentence is what is confusing me. It sounds like they are the same formations, or that they are alternating somehow, or perhaps that each formation serves as it's own source, reservoir, and trap? It seems that both the formations and the faults are dipping around the same angle, but the formation dip doesn't seem to have a direction. Lots of good information. I might would just split it up into different sections because it gets a little confusing when you talk about structural history, depositional history, facies composition, and fluid/rock properties all in one paragraph in the formations section. Nice job! Ccreel5 (talk) 18:42, 8 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
