- HI, I'm also glad you've spotted me :-) I've had a look on your page and I though you are 2-meter-big spider :-) But, then I realised that spiders can't contribute to Wikipedia... ouch, it isn't your personal photo, but the Picture of the day. A little mistake. Funny.
children's lit pages
[edit]Hi, Petr K! I notice you've been interwiking the children's lit pages to the Czech equivalents, which is wonderful. Tell me, do you know anything in particular about Czech children's lit? Because I've been trying to work on the systemic bias toward English-speaking countries in the children's literature pages, but I am, for all practical purposes, monoligual. I'd love help learning more about Czech children's lit. Deborah-jl Talk 16:30, 13 April 2006 (UTC)
- Thank you, but I doubt I could be much helpful. I've done that, because I try to add interwiki in every category of czech wikipedia (yet done c. 400). But if you'd like to know some common information (what I've learnt at school :-)) about czech literature (children's too), I'd help you as much as I can. Petr K 15:30, 14 April 2006 (UTC)
Wikics template
[edit]Hi Petr! Recently, I created a new template to indicate English Wikipedia users who also contribute to the Czech Wikipedia.
Feel free to add it to your userboxes if you like it (and if you actually contribute). Happy Easter. Daniel Šebesta (talk • contribs) 22:31, 14 April 2006 (UTC)
German (?) philosophers
[edit]Greetings, I see that you have added to the category German philosophers in the recent past. I have called for a renaming of the category, and want to invite you to join discussion. The more rational voices, the better. (My suggestion is to rename to "German-language philosophers," so that the category becomes one of language rather than ethnicity.) Thanks in advance for any thoughts you might have. Universitytruth 13:51, 5 July 2006 (UTC)
Greetings, I left this commentary on the category page of German philosophers:
This is the issue. It seems to me that what most people care about is important philosophy written in German. Whether written by someone from Heidelberg (in Germany), Koenigsberg (not in Germany, but are you going to exclude Kant?), or Lithuania (Note that no-one has included Salomon Maimon on this list) is interesting, perhaps, for various other reasons.
Do you regard Kant as a German or a Russian philosopher? Universitytruth 22:42, 5 July 2006 (UTC)
I'd be interested in knowing how you would propose sorting Immanuel Kant and Salomon Maimon. Best, Universitytruth 14:27, 7 July 2006 (UTC)
My Generation cover
[edit]Hi Petr: I created the image by scanning the album cover in four sections and pasting them together. That was done before the menu for copyrights included an "Album cover" choice. I have posted lots of album and EP [4 song 45 rpm records often with graphics on the covers] covers, so you might run into more. However I thought the copyright tag that is there should be enough. No? Carptrash 02:23, 5 August 2006 (UTC)
- OK, then, could you please add some information according to Help:Image page? Thank you. Petr K 17:31, 5 August 2006 (UTC)
Hi. I started copyediting your translation of the article Václav Renč, but I got very confused. My main question involves the second paragraph and your use of the word "redacted". I don't really think redacted makes sense in that context, but don't know what you are trying to say. Could you explain it for me? ~ ONUnicorn (Talk / Contribs) 15:24, 29 September 2006 (UTC)

Automated message to bot owners
[edit]As a result of discussion on the village pump and mailing list, bots are now allowed to edit up to 15 times per minute. The following is the new text regarding bot edit rates from Wikipedia:Bot Policy:
Until new bots are accepted they should wait 30-60 seconds between edits, so as to not clog the recent changes list and user watchlists. After being accepted and a bureaucrat has marked them as a bot, they can edit at a much faster pace. Bots doing non-urgent tasks should edit approximately once every ten seconds, while bots who would benefit from faster editing may edit approximately once every every four seconds.
Also, to eliminate the need to spam the bot talk pages, please add Wikipedia:Bot owners' noticeboard to your watchlist. Future messages which affect bot owners will be posted there. Thank you. --Mets501 04:24, 22 February 2007 (UTC)

Prague Spring for FA?
[edit]Dobry den, Petr:
I don't think many people saw my message on the Czech WikiProject talk page, so now I'm writing to people individually. ;-) I have an idea to share with you: last year, a group of editors (in which I participated) turned Hungarian Revolution of 1956 from an utter worthless mess into an excellent Featured Article, and got it on the Main Page on the 50th anniversary of the uprising. With the 40th anniversary of 1968 coming up next spring, I would love to repeat that success with Prague Spring. I know it's a long time until the actual anniversary, but the sooner we start, the better. (It got pretty hectic with 56, we started in August and the anniversary was in October, which led to a mad dash to the finish--we barely made it.) Would you be interested in working on this? K. I demand your apologies
[edit]20:38, 1 October 2007 (UTC) you made two big lies:
- that mM have vandalized articles and offended other users, and
- that I have vandalized any article.
I demand your apologies otherwise I will seek your punishment for breaching WP:NPA. —V. Z. 20:54, 1 October 2007 (UTC)
- First I won't discuss anything with you, untill you admit your own mistakes. Second I won't apologize, because it's nonsense; there is nothing, what could be found offensive from me. It seems you just want to bother anybody around you. If it's your way how to deal with problems, I am not interested in… so far it's not regarding me in any way. I would appreciate if you changed your mind, but I think you've decided already. Do what you think that is right. Petr K 21:22, 1 October 2007 (UTC)
You are not my judge, you have no right for my confession. You lied twice and you intentionally refused to apologize. Your choice. Your sofism cannot change my intention to let sysops teach you NPA. Here is no cs:, here you are no Übermensch. —V. Z. 21:29, 1 October 2007 (UTC)
Notification
[edit]A post referencing you has been made at WP:AN/I. Note this is a courtesy notification only, as I have neither knowledge of nor an opinion on the matter raised. Orderinchaos 16:57, 2 October 2007 (UTC)
- I'm sorry for that. I don't know, why this user is still obsessed with annoying other people. I can't do anything in this "case" yet and I can't imagine, how anybody could solve his problems here at Wikipedia (whether the English or the Czech one). Anyway, my position is clear: I haven't attacked him and so it is just waste of your and my time. Petr K 17:40, 2 October 2007 (UTC)
I am not obsessed. You lied twice: that mM have vandalized articles and offended other users, and that I have vandalized some article. Normal people make apologies for their lies. —V. Z. Talk • Contributions • Edit counter 11:25, 7 October 2007 (UTC)
Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Mirek Topolánek.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Mirek Topolánek.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 18:50, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

The article Luděk Navara has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.
If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one.
