- Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
- It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
- If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
- Always use edit summaries to explain your changes.
- When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
- If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
- Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.

Optimising layout
[edit]Just FYI: because we don't know whether a visitor is using a phone, a kindle, a laptop or a panoramic takes-up-the-whole-desk widescreen gaming display, we don't generally try to optimise layouts for appearance. It's ok to adjust something in passing (as you did at The Point) but wisest not to do so as the primary reason for change.
Good to see another MK editor. Welcome again to Wikipedia. --𝕁𝕄𝔽 (talk) 17:23, 18 August 2024 (UTC)
- Hi, last week when I took the photos of The Point was my first visit to CMK since I moved to Gloucestershire 14 years ago. Very interesting to have a walk round CMK again, to see what's new, what's just the same, and what's being pulled down. I hope to contribute more photos to Wikipedia from now on - I'd been meaning to give it a try, and now I have. Best wishes, Peter
- PS I still visit the Milton Keynes area a few times a year, especially Woburn Sands where I lived for 13 years, but I'd just never ventured back into CMK in all that time. I do have a soft spot for MK, as everyone seems to who has actually lived there! Peterandhiscat (talk) 19:10, 18 August 2024 (UTC)
- Do you know about Wikimedia commons? It is a lot easier to upload your images there and use them here. Also makes it easier for other language wikipedias to use them too. 𝕁𝕄𝔽 (talk) 19:15, 18 August 2024 (UTC)
JMF- Thanks - I think that's what I did this time. It's all a bit of a mystery at the moment though :)
