Article on Esha Momeni

[edit]

The wording of this article appears to me to be biased against the government of Iran and its actions. Wikipedia should not be a forum for making political points. I would suggest either rewriting the article, or consideration of deletion. Gilo1969 (talk) 19:08, 10 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Notability of Melody Max

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Melody Max requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. -Zeus- 21:26, 5 February 2009 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by -Zeus- (talkcontribs)

Speedy deletion of Melody Max

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Melody Max requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! I noticed that you recently added a {{hangon}} template to an article, Melody Max. In order for an administrator to evaluate whether the article should be speedy deleted or not, we request that you provide reasoning, on the article's talk page, for why it should remain. Thank you. ←Signed:→Mr. E. Sánchez Get to know me! / Talk to me!←at≈:→ 21:31, 5 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I've noted the "hangon" tag you attached to the above-captioned article, Melody Max. You may not be familiar with the guidelines about the notability of pornographic actors/actresses, found at WP:PORNBIO, which I've excerpted here for your convenience:
"Has won or been a serious nominee for a well-known award, such as those listed in Category:Adult movie awards or Category:Film awards or from a major pornographic magazine, such as Penthouse, Playboy, or Playgirl, as well as their counterparts in other pornography genres.

Has made unique contributions to a specific pornographic genre, such as beginning a trend in pornography, or starring in an iconic, groundbreaking or blockbuster feature. Has been featured multiple times in notable mainstream media." From my examination of the article in question, I can't see that this individual meets any of those criteria and so I'm going to agree with the editor who tagged the article for speedy deletion. If you have any questions that aren't answered by WP:Why was my article deleted? or the other helpful pages linked above, feel free to leave me a note.
