Spelling of Al-Andalusi

[edit]

Hello Penom. If you are likely to be joining in a long-term debate about the edits of User:Al-Andalusi, please make the effort to spell this person's name correctly on talk pages. One of your edits is here. Their name is Al-Andalusi not 'Andelousi.' Thank you, EdJohnston (talk) 18:46, 23 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  1. Sure. The misspeling was not intentional. It was just because I wrote that comment in hurry and did not check the name. Unfortunately I have no good memory for names. But, anyhow, I apologize for any inconvenience and I do put more effort not to repeat it.
  2. But, just for my information, Is there any policy that I am not aware it? Assuming good faith, my mistake could have been considered as a typo not an intentional job. Am I right?--Penom (talk) 23:28, 23 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
This should not be a problem if you will try to refer to them correctly in the future. Thank you, EdJohnston (talk) 14:09, 24 June 2011

Abdullah ibn Saba' ‎

[edit]

Am I right, that you do nothing other than edit Abdullah ibn Saba' ? William M. Connolley (talk) 18:01, 15 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Well, I am not a full time editor. I may move from one article to another article, when I feel the article I am editing is in good shape. I am interested in Jews in Islam, before this article I edited 'Asma' bint Marwan and Taqiyya. My next article may be and Abu Afak --Penom (talk) 18:18, 15 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
You're right, I didn't go back far enough. I only checked your last 250 edits, which have been to nothing else William M. Connolley (talk) 22:27, 15 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Also, you said "Hello, William M. Connolley. You have new messages at Penom's talk page." I'm not quite sure what you meant by that. Did you mean your comment, just above? William M. Connolley (talk) 22:29, 15 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I meant my comment, just above --Penom (talk) 01:32, 16 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, indeed. In future, could you take the trouble to check the edit notices that people leave? Mine says Conversely, if I've left a message on your talk page, I'm watching it, so please reply there, and don't leave me a talkback. William M. Connolley (talk) 10:15, 16 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Abu Musa Page

[edit]

What are you talking about? The poll on Abu Musa took up 3 lines and not 1/4 of the page. Please do not exaggerate. The poll is the first of its kind on the subject and is conducted by the World famous YouGov - please google or look up their polling credentials. Please feel free to add any polling on the matter that has been conducted in Iran. It is a fact that the sovereignty of the island is in dispute and the 3 lines on the poll, merely reflect sentiment across the Mena region. Just because you may have a different viewpoint or allegiance, do not rubbish the poll or it's valid inclusion on this page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Redroar75 (talkcontribs) 18:12, 17 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

That's only a poll by a tele-maketing company, it has no value unless it is re-assessed by a reliable source.--Penom (talk) 18:19, 17 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Notifications

[edit]

Your report on WQA was the second time you failed to follow the instructions. ANI says you are required to notify subjects of discussion. WQA says "Manually notify the involved user(s); place a short and polite statement on their talk page, or on the talk page of the article if several users are involved (you may wish to use the template {{subst:WQA-notice}} on a user's talk page)." --NeilN talk to me 18:42, 17 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

OK, sure. I will notify him--Penom (talk) 18:52, 17 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
