Palestine's foreign relations
[edit]Hi Pedir. I appreciate your hard work on the Foreign relations of the Palestinian Authority article. I think however, that the article should either be deleted or renamed Foreign relations of Palestine given that the PA has no authority to represent Palestinians in the international arena. I have raised the issue at WP:PALESTINE and WP:IPCOLL to get more feedback before nominating the article for deletion. I think these issues are better covered in State of Palestine or List of diplomatic missions of Palestine. Our article name misleads the reader into thinking the PA represents Palestine when in fact it is the PLO who does. The PA is only a temporary administrative body that many Palestinian feel is a quisling government for the occupier being that it was a creation of the Oslo accords. - Hi Pedir. You keep updating the Foreign relations of the Palestinian Authority article list instead of the List of diplomatic missions of Palestine list. As I explained to you above, I'm going to nominate Foreign relations of the Palestinian Authority for deletion because the Palestinian Authority is not the representative of the Palestinian people before the international community. The PLO is. It is "Palestine" that is represented at the United Nations, not the Palestinian Authority. Most of your updates were to the wrong list. And we cannot copy-paste the other list to List of diplomatic missions of Palestine because its not the same. That one has many more entries and references. So I'm sorry to have wasted your time, but we seem to have had a miscommunication. Tiamuttalk 00:07, 26 July 2009 (UTC)
Redirects
[edit]Pedir, I saw that you created an article called Palestine-Russia relations by copying the content from the previous article you created under a slightly different title Palestine–Russia relations. Instead of duplicating an article, please create a redirect so when a user searches for one title, Wikipedia will send the reader to the other title. If there are duplicate articles under different titles, both would have to be updated when changes are made, or content will become out of date. I have replaced the duplicate article you created with a redirect, so now Palestine-Russia relations automatically redirects to Palestine–Russia relations. Please read Wikipedia:Redirect for more information.
And in response to your edit summary here, there is no need to apologize. I understand that new users like you will not know all Wikipedia's policies and guidelines and will make some mistakes. I still make mistakes after years of editing. So thank you for your contributions, and please let me know if there's anything more I can help you with. I hope you decide to contribute to Wikipedia for a long time. Thanks! --Mysdaao talk 14:39, 18 July 2009 (UTC)

[edit]Please do not delete content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to List of diplomatic missions of Serbia, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you'd like to experiment with test edits. Thank you.--Avala (talk) 13:58, 16 August 2009 (UTC)
