AHA dog story
Hi, while doing the rewrite for AHA, we (me and cartick) agreed not to use Tamil Tribune site as a source, as it has been contested as a RS and as a POV source before many times (because of the inflammatory separatist statements it carries).The chennaionline link has copied it from Tamil Tribune. The dog story as far as i can determine comes from one of Anna's medai speeches and not his Rajya Sabha speeches. I am looking for a book reference (and will eventually find it, when i go through enough library books). We are aiming to take the article eventually to FA status and Tamil Tribune or Chennaionline would not be acceptable to FA reviewers as sources. I will remove the story for now. I will DEFINITELY add it back, when i find a published book that mentions the story.--Sodabottle (talk) 05:59, 26 February 2010 (UTC)

i said so cause when i met a few Indian govt staffs abroad one female asked me how could i be an Indian without knowing Hindi & her spouse said the it wasnt me who ta reason but our ancestors & leader's who did the mistakes & to be blamed ....then in reply i said tht i would better spend time & memory in learning french , the Spanish or the Japanese or the German as English alone is enough to live in India & if i happen to settle in the north of the nation anytime then i may goahead with learning their regional languages like Hindi ......& even if i would wish to learn a regional language i shld first learn Telugu or the other southern languages ......--Doctor muthu's muthu wanna talk ? 10:53, 26 February 2010 (UTC)
Do you have any proof that Gautam Menon's mother is Tamil. don't create your own story. And there is no reference mentioned on that.

Tamil Eelam
I note with interest that you reversed my edits on Tamil Eelam. Your rationale was "kindly prove it, i still see scores of people in various country holding the image & shouting slogans, hence the war defeat has nothing to do with the aspiration".
- Replacement of the infobox has nothing to do with the war defeat and everything to do withWP:NPOV, in particularthe section on biased statements which reads that "a biased statement violates this policy when it is presented as a fact or the truth. It does not necessarily violate this policy when it is presented as an identifiable point of view. It is therefore important to verify it and make every effort possible to add an appropriate citation." Using Infobox Country gives uninformed readers the impression that Tamil Eelam is an existing recognised country. Scores of people holding signs and shouting slogans does not make a country recognised; on the contrary we need to see evidence that other existing recognised countries have extended due recognition to Tamil Eelam, e.g. diplomatic missions, participation in supranational bodies like the UN. Since Tamil Eelam does not have international recognition, it is untrue to present the article as if Tamil Eelam is a country.
- As far as proving it goes, WP:Verifiability is quite clear that "the burden of evidence lies with the editor who adds or restores material" so I'm afraid that it's up to you to prove that Infobox Country should stay. Green Giant (talk) 01:42, 14 August 2010 (UTC)
