Information icon Hello, I'm Tdc42. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on Jeanette Wilson, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source, so I removed it. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! Tdc42 (talk) 04:20, 6 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add unreferenced or poorly referenced information, especially if controversial, to articles or any other page on Wikipedia about living (or recently deceased) persons. Thank you. Tdc42 (talk) 15:58, 6 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions; however, it appears you may have written a Wikipedia article about yourself, at Jeanette Wilson. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – please see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to or change an existing article about yourself, you are welcome to propose the changes by visiting the article's talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was the page I created deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss this with the deleting administrator. Thank you. Stop icon This is your only warning; if you remove or blank page contents or templates from Wikipedia again, as you did at Jeanette Wilson, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. LakesideMinersCome Talk To Me! 19:35, 6 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I am new to editing - I am Jeanette Wilson and my attention was drawn just yesterday to this page is clearly not NEUTRAL as it should be within WIKIPEDIAS 5 pillars. I deleted in good will all false statements that were either not supported or supported with only TABLOID references.

I will go through what is incorrect from the top down. I am not an antivaxxer. Where is evidence of this? I am vaccinated myself. I do not claim to heal people - all healing comes from God. I have NEVER said I heal anyone - where is the SOURCE for this? God heals. I have NEVER promoted anti- vaccination views - where is the SOURCE for this? I am not anti anything I am PRO good health supported by body awareness & good science. My UK tour consisted of 75 shows NOT ONE was cancelled for the reasons cited - 3 venues cancelled worried about adverse publicity that was threated by Michael Marshall of the Good Thinking Society - where is the EVIDENCE for this statement? Background info - Michael Marshall wrote to the newpapers expressing HIS CONCERNS about my shows - some newspapers printed HIS CONCERNS but they did not interview me or ask me for comment - so the articles written were one sided. I have medical disclaimers on my website, on show tickets and in all adverts. I was born in 1962 My grandfather died when I was 6 ears of age! yes I did move to NZ in 1999 - something at last that is correct. I have never said that my hands are "possessed" - where is the evidence for this? I do not hum. Yes occasionally I do move my hands and stomp to release energies but the way they have put these things together make me sound just weird - not a fair account of the Divine work I do, that is usually either silent, or accompanied by a spiritual teaching. I FILM EVERY SHOW and these are made available to the public.

I have NEVER said I can cure arthritis - where is the evidence for this?I FILM EVERY SHOW and these are made available to the public. I have NEVER said that I cam heal vision impairment - again where is the evidence for this? I have never said that I have treated paralysis - where is the evidence? All healing comes from God. I have never said that I have treated blindness in one eye - where is the evidence? All healing is done by God. I have never said that I have treated many cases of life- threatening cancer - where is the evidence? ( I am amazed this person can get away with saying all this stuff - shouldn't there be checks in place that stop this? Re Mammograms - my word are twisted I shared my own personal account...which includes that I have (& this is personal to me)structures that are like bunches of grapes in my breasts & doctors have told me that mammograms for me are useless because of this - do I really have to put in the public arena my personal stuff to put my side of things? I have NEVER described John of God as my mentor - he speaks Brazillian, he lives in Brazil - I am in New Zealand - how is he my mentor? where is the evidence for this? - here I am being defamed by being linked an accused sex offender. I am not a Christian. I honour whatever religious path others choose. My books do not talk about "new age topics"- they are about personal growth and development The next paragraph is all bout other people's opinions of me - Michael Marshall and Craig Shearer - - how does that get to go on my page? Totally biased - neither has met e UK Advertising Standards did not "caution" me - they sent me an email to follow up on a compliant sent to them by Michael Marshall - the only one they have EVER received, they guided me on what I could do in the UK. It was a helpful email that let me know that I must only talk about healing in general terms and not use videos of more serious conditions being healed to advertise my UK tour. In New Zealand I can.

Dietary supplements. I do not promote any dietary supplements - one of my catch phrases is FOOD OVER SUPPLEMENTS I am an advocate of REAL FOOD. PXP Royale is a FOOD it is a PURPLE ( not black) rice. I am not a paid promoter of it. PXP Royale is super concentrated it takes one pound of purple rice to make 1 teaspoon of product - it can't be compared to purple rice you buy in the supermarket ( when did you ever see purple rice ins a supermarket - you don't , its only in health stores) or online. There is no huge mark up on it.

the next paragraph is nothing to do with me- what is that doing there?

Reference to talk off camera re scar tissue - I was about to recommend the best thing I have ever seen for scar tissue which is lavender oil - I DO NOT SELL IT - so me recommending it I don't break any rules -I was joking about Trading Standards in the context of what was said earlier in the show about how I can't use video of people getting better from more serious issues for advertising in the UK, I can only use the knees, hips and back videos

I object strongly to all the SEE ALSO's what on earth do they have to do with me except to attempt to lump my together with those people - none of whom I have any links with

The newspaper articles were ALL incited by letters from Michael Marshall or other members of UK / NZ Skeptics - journalists reported Michael's or Craig's concerns but did not interview me/ seek to interview me/ attend a show/ speak to anyone attending an event. I hope whoever reads this will understand my initial eagerness to take down all the false statements and realize that I was not trying to " write my own autobiography" I was simply trying to remove malicious and libelous statements made about me. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Peace11111 (talkcontribs) 21:33, 6 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

See Wikipedia:Contact us/Article subjects for advice - though the key point is the email address Denis already suggested. Good luck. PamD 22:35, 6 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Who is Denis? and what email address he has suggested? I am new here and really struggling to find what to do.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Peace11111 (talkcontribs) 22:43, 6 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • You left a message on his page at User_talk:Dennis_Brown#A_barnstar_for_you! and he replied (though didn't "ping" you, so you may not have seen it).
  • The "edit request" template you've added above is supposed to go on the article talk page, not your own: please take time to read the instructions for things like that template.
  • One question which sticks out for me from the various sources: who was handing out the anti-vax leaflets at your event? Was it you or anyone associated with you, or some third party? Were they signed by any organisation? That seems to be the only "evidence" that you are anti-vax and anti-5G. If those leaflets were nothing to do with you but were handed out by people not under your control, then this needs to be stated somewhere... though difficult to prove anything I suppose.
  • And (a) Please date and sign contributions even on your own talk page, as it helps people to follow the conversation - just type~~~~ - and (b) if you are replying to someone please "ping" them using "@" or "ping", so that they get an alert to the fact that you have replied (eg type {{ping|PamD}} if you want me to see a reply.
  • And, as you've noticed above, just hitting a "new line" doesn't make a new paragraph in Wikipedia. If you're typing a lot of text as above, you need to split it up using two newlines between paras, to avoid the "wall of text" effect which puts people off from reading. Thanks. PamD 23:11, 6 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Pam, I have no idea what is meant my anti - vax leaflets - it was a small event 12 people there and I filmed it - no one was handing anything out as far as I am aware...and thank you no idea about any of this stuff so a REALLY APPRECIATE you helping me {{ping|PamD}}

The {{ping}} only works if you sign the post you're adding it to (and at the same time, not as a catchup), so that's another reason to remember to sign all your posts. PamD 08:12, 7 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
AFAICT, purple rice and black rice refer to the same thing. Or rather, there are a bunch of varieties which may be called black or purple rice. I have no idea what variety/ies are used in PXP since I can't find anything more specific than "Siam Valley in Thailand". (And interesting claim in itself since although Thailand may have been formerly called Siam, I can't actually find evidence then's any place commonly called Siam Valley, so WTF knows where that rice actually comes from.) Black rice definitely is sold in supermarkets e.g. [1]. It's a moot point anyway since it would be WP:OR. Your suggestion that someone needs to live in the same country to be a mentor is odd. Not being able to speak directly to your mentor may be a little odder although probably not unheard of. BTW, there is no language normally called Brazilian (or Brazillian). Only Brazilian Portuguese and a bunch of indigenous languages. In any case, the source definitely says that and considering stuff like [2], it's probably a reasonable summation. Nil Einne (talk) 03:00, 8 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Nil Einne: purple rice is purple in colour , black rice is black in colour...purple is rich in anthocyanins and antioxidants because of it's purple colour. A mentor according to Wikipedia' description https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mentorship. I clearly do not even know what language this man speaks so how is he my mentor? Have I had a conversation with him ever NO because I live in New Zealand and he lives in Brazil. Has he EVER taught me anything NO. How do I prove something that hasn't happened. If someone is going to say that a convicted rapist is my mentor they really should have more evidence than it being a reasonable summation. The bed was brought to NZ for me by a friend I did not go over there to purchase.Peace11111 (talk) 10:33, 8 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Editing with a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, Peace11111. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

It is they who have made the page not me, I don't want my words here on the page I am trying to express what has happened. I can also show they were behind the first newspaper article in the Liveroool Echo I have another screen shot of their facebook group that shows they organised this. all their other citations were newpapers that copied content from the Liverpool Echo. I thought that where LIVING PEOPLE were concerned libellous/potentially content had to be well referenced? and would be taken down straight away once identified - It is all incredibly confusing for someone new to all this -and complicated by the email address for issues being wrong in several places on the wikipedia sitePeace11111 (talk) 13:11, 8 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Your ping was incorrectly done(shouldn't have a slash), so I will redo it for you: Ian.thomson. I'm not sure which email addresses are "incorrect"- but as I stated, you will not necessarily get an immediate reply, email addresses are not monitored 24/7/365 around the clock. Have you also addressed these comments to the Liverpool Echo? Most newspapers are considered to be a reliable source- unless they have a reputation of printing falsehoods or just making things up. Is that the case with this newspaper? 331dot (talk) 13:16, 8 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Ian.thomson: @331dot: yes I do. Would you like to see our correspondence? ( How do I send it?) The editor invited me to add my comments to my initial comments which had been very brief & over the phone when their reporter rang me. I did not think they would take the claims made in Michael Marshall's letter seriously. I was at the start of a busy tour - 75 shows and events and all our venues had been contacted by Michael Marshall - my priority was reassuring the venues that I was legit. I had no show in Liverpool and no shows planned there - I did not realize that one article would then get copied by other newspapers. I have today emailed the editor to say that I would now like to take him up on his offer in light of what has happened on Wikipedia and sharing with him the evidence I have. Peace11111 (talk) 19:22, 8 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Just a note that I have removed a portion of the above comment for breaching policy, while keeping the reply to other editors. We do not connect usernames to real life accounts unless the user has already disclosed on Wikipedia itself. Primefac (talk) 03:07, 9 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
