Welcome
[edit]Hi, Pboulus. Welcome to Wikipedia. I hope you enjoy contributing.
We need some reference for the use of Inductive symbol, such as a math textbook. Is it widely used in the Australian educational system, or is it a helpful notation suggested by a single teacher? Also, can you explain more about why it is helpful, why the labels on the spokes are arranged in the order described, etc.? Perhaps an explicit example or two would clear it up. Joshua R. I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article Inductive symbol, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. --LambiamTalk 08:30, 22 February 2007 (UTC)
Inductive symbol is being considered for deletion
[edit]The article you created, inductive symbol, has been nominated for deletion. It would be a shame to lose what seem like a reasonable article only because editors from the US are unfamiliar with things in Australia; but because false articles are also added to WP on a regular basis, the policy allows for articles to be deleted if their topics don't appear to be notable. Unless a reliable source establishing that this notation is notable, the article is likely to be deleted. Please comment here if you can establish the notability of the inductive symbol notation.
