Hello, Pbferrigan. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page Maryland Live! Casino, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your COI when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).
Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Andrewa (talk) 16:07, 13 June 2018 (UTC)
- @Andrewa: Hi Andrewa! Thank you very much for taking the time to help me with this. I work for a digital agency that was employed to help with online references to the old name. I apologize for any errors on my part with the formatting. I was attempting to request approval for the change as part of the conflict of interest guidelines. I apologize if I did anything incorrectly. Do you need additional information from me? I am happy to provide anything needed. Thank you, Peter B. Ferrigan Pbferrigan (talk) 16:18, 13 June 2018 (UTC)
- Thanks for the prompt reply and disclosure. I think we have now covered all the requirements.
- Please feel free to add information that might help the move request. See WP:NAMECHANGES and WP:IRS for what information would be most helpful.
- And thank you for your efforts to comply. If you are involved in any further such requests, or have questions about this one, I am happy to help... we must support those who do the right thing. Contact me in need on my own user talk page preferably, or by email if for any reason you are relunctant to do this (this should be rare but the option is there).
