Glenn Herrin
[edit]A tag has been placed on Glenn Herrin, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article is a repost of either already posted material, or of material that was previously deleted under Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion. If you can indicate how Glenn Herrin is different from all other articles, or if you can indicate why this article should not be deleted, I advise you to place the template {{hangon}}, and also put a note on Talk:Glenn Herrin saying why this article should stay. An admin should check for such edits before deleting the article. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 4 under General criteria. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. We welcome your help in trying to improve Wikipedia, and we ask you to follow these instructions. -- ReyBrujo 01:50, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
License tagging for Image:71ECP.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:71ECP.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 05:04, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
Image tagging for Image:Untitled5.pdf
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Untitled5.pdf. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Re: can you help with this?
[edit]Regarding this Perception of Wealth Theory, I think the more information you give, the better. Is this going to be a new article? Do you need me to give feedback about it, or anything else? -- ReyBrujo 05:30, 7 April 2007 (UTC)
- Note that you need to demonstrate the notability of the theory. The article about ?? was deleted multiple times because it is considered not notable according to our notability standards for people. It is possible his theories are also considered non notable if you can't give reliable sources for them. -- ReyBrujo 05:32, 7 April 2007 (UTC)
Orphaned fair use image (Image:BeerECP3.jpg)
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:BeerECP3.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 20:42, 11 May 2007 (UTC)
Disputed fair use rationale for Image:EmeraldCoastPilsner3.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:EmeraldCoastPilsner3.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 03:46, 26 October 2007 (UTC)

Unspecified source for Image:EmeraldCoastPilsner3.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:EmeraldCoastPilsner3.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 03:53, 15 December 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Jusjih (talk) 03:53, 15 December 2007 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:EmeraldCoastPilsner3.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:EmeraldCoastPilsner3.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Image copyright problem with Image:ECBCPaleAle.JPG
[edit]Thank you for uploading Image:ECBCPaleAle.JPG. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 23:19, 7 March 2008 (UTC)

Your recent edits
[edit]Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 08:48, 9 March 2008 (UTC)
Re: DEL
[edit]Deletion discussions usually run for about a week and are decided upon by an experienced user called an administrator. You are allowed to improve the articles while the discussion is going on, but please don't remove the notice from the top of the pages that tell other editors about the discussion. The easiest way to show that this article should stay in Wikipedia is to find news stories about the company or the product and show us where they can be found online. If no news sources have written about the company yet, there's no way for us to tell if everything in the article is just made up or not, so we will probably delete it. On the other hand, if you can find several articles about the company or it's product, the article may be kept. One way or the other, I will not make the decision. Good luck. ➪HiDrNick! 08:59, 9 March 2008 (UTC)
Vulcan Energy Drink deletion discussion
[edit]Hi Pat Long,
Although I was the one that nominated this article, if you can come up with some sources that show that the drink complies with our notability guidelines, I'd be happy to help you integrate them into the article and change my position to "Keep" in the discussion. Any questions, please ask on my talk page. Lankiveil (speak to me) 09:44, 9 March 2008 (UTC).
AfD nomination of Vulcan Energy Drink
[edit]An editor has nominated Vulcan Energy Drink, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").
Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Vulcan Energy Drink and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 15:02, 9 March 2008 (UTC)

Notability
[edit]Hi Pat, I really think you should read and consider WP:CORP. It's a good starting place to understand what Wikipedia requires of an organization, like the Emerald Coast company. Your arguments about the government really don't come in to play because these are the guidelines of what Wikipedia needs to include an article. You have to understand that when you're contributing to a project you have to make sure you understand what the project's rules are. If you think that press coverage is silly compared to government authority that is a perfectly valid personal belief, but it's not Wikipedia policy and it won't help you in an AFD proceeding. I'm urging you to try what I've suggested in the AFD to improve the article and if you can't you can always write it again after WP:RS reliable sources become available. --Torchwood Who? (talk) 20:06, 9 March 2008 (UTC)

Language Barrier?
[edit]Hey Pat, please don't take this as out of line, I really don't intend it to be, but are you not a native English speaker or maybe a minor? The reason I'm asking is that I noticed you have some odd sentence structures and I want to make sure that in the AFD for Emerald Coast you're fully understanding what we're saying. If there's a language barrier maybe we can find a way to help bridge it. If there isn't a language barrier I hope you understand where I was coming from and that I didn't mean any harm by asking.--Torchwood Who? (talk) 21:45, 9 March 2008 (UTC)
- Well, you're hardly a dummy. It takes a lot to get the hang of editing articles here, so that's proof enough that you shouldn't think int hose terms. I'm sorry if my question upset you. I was really just trying to help.--Torchwood Who? (talk) 21:58, 9 March 2008 (UTC)
- I would suggest doing this. In case the AFD closes with delete you should go in to the "edit" box for the articles you've created and copy all the text. You can then paste that text in a text file and save it for later when more sources become available.--Torchwood Who? (talk) 22:08, 9 March 2008 (UTC)

- I don't find your statement (more specifically, your WP:POINT rationale) supportable, Pat. You are comparing historic, well-noted companies (some going back to the 1800s, possibly earlier) with one(s) that have been existence only about a year. If one Googles the names, page after page of memorabilia, pics and mentions will come up, for the elder companies. This translates out to some notability. Is this the case for the AfDd items you're upset about? Zephyrad (talk) 21:20, 10 March 2008 (UTC)
