A3
[edit]Hey, just wanted to let you know that A3 doesn't apply if there's an infobox on the article. Because of this, I removed the tags from Eadon Green Black Cullin and Eadon Green Zeclat. Cheers, Anarchyte (work | talk) 09:57, 9 April 2018 (UTC)
Survey Invite
[edit]I'm working on a study of political motivations and how they affect editing. I'd like to ask you to take a survey. The survey should take no more than 1-2 minutes. Your survey responses will be kept private. Our project is documented at https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Research:Wikipedia_%2B_Politics.
Your survey Link: http://uchicago.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_9S3JByWf57fXEkR?Q_DL=56np5HpEZWkMlr7_9S3JByWf57fXEkR_MLRP_cvgEUduEjFsW501&Q_CHL=gl
I am asking you to participate in this study because you are a frequent editor of pages on Wikipedia that are of political interest. We would like to learn about your experiences in dealing with editors of different political orientations.
Sincere thanks for your help! Porteclefs (talk) 00:57, 12 April 2018 (UTC)

Ijaaz Ebrahim
[edit]Just a friendly heads up on Ijaaz Ebrahim. You requested A1 speedy deletion, no context. However, the article said "Actor of Mayalam Films" -- that's plenty of context to tell what the article is trying to be about.----Fabrictramp | talk to me 03:49, 22 April 2018 (UTC)

Speedy deletion declined: Draft:Population of the provinces and territories of Canada
[edit]Hello Passengerpigeon. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Draft:Population of the provinces and territories of Canada, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Redirects that are a result of page moves from the draft namespace to the main namespace should be retained.. Thank you. — JJMC89 (T·C) 15:43, 31 March 2020 (UTC)
Please review again Draft:Muhammad_Saad_Uddin
[edit]Hello Passengerpigeon! you have declined my draft article just now, so i just want to request you to review my article again plz and tell me what is exactly missing. Draft:Muhammad_Saad_Uddin Saaduddin2020 (talk) 08:05, 1 April 2020 (UTC)
- The draft was declined because it didn't have enough reliable sources to establish that the subject was notable enough to warrant a Wikipedia article. Most of the sources you used are television industry websites; per the guidelines at WP:RS, the subject of the article must have significant mentions in independent media outlets such as The Express Tribune; if you can add more sources like that one, the article should be good to go. Also, remove the links to their Facebook and Instagram pages as they are considered spam. In addition, are you Muhammad Saad Uddin yourself? If so, please read the guidenes at WP:AUTOBIOGRAPHY. Thank you, Passengerpigeon (talk) 08:16, 1 April 2020 (UTC)
Yes i'm Muhammad Saad Uddin myself, ok i remove facebook and instagram from external links but i don't have my personal website to put on externals links.. i have searched some articles in wikipedia so they used their own social accounts as their external links? and i have added 1 Express Tribune source in my article and i am just going to add 1 more tribune source in my article, would it be good?? Saaduddin2020 (talk) 08:23, 1 April 2020 (UTC)
- Please link me the article that you say includes social media account external links. Passengerpigeon (talk) 08:24, 1 April 2020 (UTC)
Sultana Siddiqui Saaduddin2020 (talk) 08:30, 1 April 2020 (UTC)
- OK, perhaps I was wrong about external link guidelines. I will review your draft again at another time. Passengerpigeon (talk) 08:49, 1 April 2020 (UTC)
Doesn't matter! i'm glad that you responding me and helping me out for this.. i have added 2 more sources in my article.. Saaduddin2020 (talk) 08:55, 1 April 2020 (UTC)
Should i need to submit article again for re-review or i should left it until you review it?? Saaduddin2020 (talk) 08:58, 1 April 2020 (UTC)
- Yes, please submit it for rereview when you think it is done. Reviewers cannot accept or decline an article unless it is up for review. The sources you added are reliable, but I can't seem to find mentions of your name in any of them; Wikipedia requires that subjects have significant coverage, not just passing mentions. Passengerpigeon (talk) 09:05, 1 April 2020 (UTC)
Yes i admit it that i had created this article in past and wikipedia deleted it but at that time i didn't have any sourses of that and i just wanted to try it that's why i had multiple account but believe me i did't mean to violate wikipedia policies.. please guide me that how can i resolve this issue and kepp my article remain in wikipedia. i can also provide you my official documents and my company documnets where i work. Saaduddin2020 (talk) 10:34, 1 April 2020 (UTC)
- I have posted a note on your sockpuppet investigations casepage asking the administrators to help you get unblocked legitimately, as you seem to be interested in making things right. I do not need your official company documents because they will not help with establishing Wikipedia notability; our notability guidelines are based on coverage in independent sources, not the validity of one's own official credentials. Thank you, Passengerpigeon (talk) 10:39, 1 April 2020 (UTC)
Thank you so much! basically i want to explain you something about the article which was deleted my times by wikipedia SEE TV because our employees were trying to re-make our company article on wikipedia because in 2015 to 2018, someone created our company article See TV with some wrong information and he was trying to challange us a fake leadership which was definitely creating problem and damaged our company name in the pakistan satellite television channel market. that's why i want to request you to give me 1 more change to create our company article again with the name SEE TV and i promise that i will not do the same mistake that i did in past. Saaduddin2020 (talk) 10:47, 1 April 2020 (UTC)
- Actually, I would advise against that; we usually frown upon companies creating their own articles. If you want to create an article on your own company, please use the Articles for Creation process so that it can be declined if it is not notable or has any other issues. False information can be removed from Wikipedia by anybody, but it seems that the article about SEE TV created by the other user has already been deleted, so there seems to be no need to create an article "setting the facts straight". Passengerpigeon (talk) 10:51, 1 April 2020 (UTC)
And please tell me how can i close a case of sockpuppet or multiaccount case?? Saaduddin2020 (talk) 10:58, 1 April 2020 (UTC)
Can you restore your speedy deletion request on my draft article Draft:Muhammad Saad Uddin please. Saaduddin2020 (talk) 11:15, 1 April 2020 (UTC)
- You cannot just halt a sockpuppetry investigation; it will have to be closed by an administrator or clerk after they have decided what actions to take. Also, I cannot restore the speedy deletion flag to your draft page because it has now been deleted. Passengerpigeon (talk) 11:17, 1 April 2020 (UTC)
- Saaduddin2020, in order to get unblocked you may be able to take advantage of the standard offer. You'll need to wait 6 months and request an unblock with your first account Saaduddin20 (talk · contribs). Your single-minded focus on conflict of interest topics and having 15+ sockpuppet accounts will mean even the most forgiving admin will have to overcome some major reluctance to unblock. You'll need to present a compelling case that you'll do something other than promoting your employers which is all you seem to have done this far. Cabayi (talk) 11:38, 1 April 2020 (UTC)
Passengerpigeon, Is WP:ELMINOFFICIAL what you were looking for? Cabayi (talk) 11:42, 1 April 2020 (UTC)
I was actually just about to decline this draft as you accepted it. Typically, we like to see at least one non-primary source to establish standalone notability to warrant the spinoff of Boeing CST-100 Starliner, particularly since there hasn't even been a manned flight yet in the ship. Nothing egregious or anything, just something to consider for next time. Thanks for the help with reviewing. Cheers Sulfurboy (talk) 06:58, 8 April 2020 (UTC)
- Oh dear, I see what you were referring to now; I accepted it because the threshhold of having to prove notability isn't particularly high for spacecraft models, but I skim-read the page and missed where it said it was just one individual spaceship, not the vehicle class. Passengerpigeon (talk) 07:01, 8 April 2020 (UTC)
- Passengerpigeon, Yeah, I kind of missed it at first too, but something just seemed off that there wouldn't already be an article about it which is when I figured out it was a spinoff article. Sulfurboy (talk) 07:13, 8 April 2020 (UTC)
- Also, be mindful of grading scales for articles. This is by no means a B-Class article. Maybe borderline C-Class, but safer to mark it as start and allow for it to be regraded by other editors/project workers after it's on mainspace for a bit. I can tell you from experience about 90-95% of articles out of AfC will be Start or Stub and the rest are typically C-Class. B-Class right out of AfC is incredibly rare, I rate an article as B-Class or better maybe one out of every couple hundred I publish. Cheers Sulfurboy (talk) 07:29, 8 April 2020 (UTC)
New redirections
[edit]Thanks for accepting Huarón Mining District. I have just tried to create two redirections: Draft:Islay Mine and Draft:Animón mine but I am not sure if this is the correct way. Any assistance is welcome!--LFgeol (talk) 09:35, 8 April 2020 (UTC)
- As has been said to you on your talk page, AFC is not the right way to request redirects, however, your account will reach autoconfirmed status tomorrow meaning that you can create them yourself. I have created the redirects for you rather than moving the draft pages. The redirects you tried to make are mostly correct, but in case you didn't already know, redirects can only have the #REDIRECT [[Link]] as well as categories; adding headers like ==References== will break the redirect. Passengerpigeon (talk) 10:55, 8 April 2020 (UTC)
- Thanks a lot!--LFgeol (talk) 16:15, 8 April 2020 (UTC)

[edit]Hello it's nice to meet you! I wanted to talk about my edits surrounding the List of Horrid Henry Characters. I just wanted to remove some information other users put in the entire that were incorrect information or weren't listing actual characters from the show and I know that because, I watched the show and I just wanted for you to understand why I made those changes to the wiki entire! Dohini (talk) 05:20, 14 April 2020 (UTC)
- Nice to meet you too. In the future, if you want to remove content from an article like that, you need to clearly explain why you are doing so in the edit summary (for example, "This character isn't actually featured in the show") and maintain a neutral tone (i.e. don't write stuff like "some idiot put this in"). Contact me if you need any more help. Thanks, Passengerpigeon (talk) 05:23, 14 April 2020 (UTC)

Sky Wave Gin
[edit]Hi Passengerpigeon. Thank you for taking the time to review the subject submission. We will work on your comments and resubmit, especially using Google verifiable links. We would, however, stress that the contents are very similar (and modelled on) the Bombay Sapphire Wikipedia page. We trust that a multinational brand with a huge amount of money behind it does not get any different treatment on Wikipedia from a small craft brand. ChallengerTwo (talk · contribs)
- Hello, thanks for reaching out to me. The promotional decline reason was mainly due to the section about the production of the gin, which contains a lot of flowery prose, more so than what is on the Bombay Sapphire page; try to trim down all of the intricate detail and avoid puffing up statements with adjectives. Also, mentions of awards received by the product should not be in the lead section, but rather in a section further down the page titled "Awards and Accolades" or something along those lines. With regards to your second point, treatment of brands on Wikipedia does not differ based on their financial clout, but rather on their notability, as established by multiple non-passing mentions in independent and reliable sources; you will need to add such mentions as sources. The awards sites you provided do count for something, but standing alone with no references to more neutral sites, they are construed as promotional. Finally, I noticed in the edit history of the page that you are the master distiller at Sky Wave; undisclosed paid editing is strictly prohibited on Wikipedia, so please mention this fact on your userpage for the sake of transparency as well as whether or not you are being paid by Sky Wave to edit Wikipedia on their behalf. Thank you, Passengerpigeon (talk) 14:05, 15 April 2020 (UTC)
Hi again. That's hugely helpful. Thank you so much for taking the time to help.
Why did you more to it mainspace? I was planning on fleshing the whole thing more in draft. GamerPro64 05:32, 16 April 2020 (UTC)
- It is already written and sourced well enough to stand in mainspace, in spite of the empty sections - it's better than a lot of articles I see that aren't drafted first. You can move it back to draftspace over a redirect if you want, though. Passengerpigeon (talk) 05:35, 16 April 2020 (UTC)
- No it will have to stay in mainspace. GamerPro64 05:38, 16 April 2020 (UTC)

What's now your problem,haa? Karabelas (talk) 20:21, 24 April 2020 (UTC)
- @Karabelas:, trying to mock other users in talk page comments isn't going to get you very far. Please understand that I reverted your edit not because I disagree with you or have anything against you, but because Wikipedia has strict standards when it comes to verifiability regarding potentially disparaging claims about living persons - somebody who didn't like someone could easily make a spurious claim that they had been fired from their job in order to insult them with false rumors; sourcing is how we know that this is the truth and not an act of bad-faith vandalism. When edits like the one you made are reverted, we are not trying to discourage editors from contributing to Wikipedia, but rather encouraging them to re-add their contributions with the issues fixed. Also, I know that sources for your information exist, but it is up to the editors that add information to give the accompanying references themselves, as asking every recent changes patroller to Google-search every single bit of unsourced information would be a very large task that would slow down the building of the encyclopedia. [edit]Why are you deleting our school page?? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Danish Pilpile (talk • contribs) 21:17, 28 April 2020 (UTC)
- Why are you creating multiple accounts in violation of our sockpuppetry policy? If you wish to edit again, you will have to submit an unblock request using your original account, User:Mushupechkar, and not create additional accounts to evade scrutiny nor edit logged-out using an IP address. Secondly, your school does not meet the notability guidelines at WP:NSCHOOL as it does not have sufficient coverage in third-party reliable sources. Passengerpigeon (talk) 22:19, 28 April 2020 (UTC)

I noticed you have been using Twinkle and was wondering if you'd like to beta test my new tool, RedWarn, specifically designed for the fastest vandalism reverts in the west (yee-haw!). - Thank you so much! Please let me know if you have any questions. JamesHSmith6789 (talk) 22:21, 28 April 2020 (UTC)
- I've seen the relevant page; is there any chance you could include a rollback button for test edits? Edits that look something like "Bold textItalic textaehebfviaerbfoyiaeoiy" are common, but as they are often made by new users curious about editing Wikipedia, I feel bad rolling them back without a summary as if they were bad-faith vandalism. - @JamesHSmith6789: I've just tried out RedWarn for the first time; unfortunately, I will be going back to Twinkle for now because it doesn't seem to be working properly. It took multiple clicks to revert an edit, and the "warn" box wouldn't issue a warning at all. Thank you, Passengerpigeon (talk) 00:06, 6 May 2020 (UTC)
- Bummer. So sorry I didn't see until I left the feedback message on your page! I've changed my username. That is incredibly odd. What browser are you using, and is it a recent/latest version?
- In the "new notice" dialog, does it close when you click "Submit"? (you can test on User:Sandbox for user warnings) If so, then everything on RedWarn's side is working fine. If an error occurs, the dialog will reopen (in case somebody wrote a really long warning or whatever so this isn't lost. If the dialog disappears and you see "Please wait..." at the bottom of the screen, waiting begins for Wikipedia to apply the change. Once this is done, you will be sent to the talk page for that user. Does that happen?
- Do you not see the "quick rollback" icons on the diff page? What exactly is wrong?
- For future reference, the quickest way to use RedWarn is to use the patrol feature on the recent changes page. See the project page for more info.
- Thanks for letting me know, and don't forget to ping my new username so I can try to resolve this bug. Ed6767 (talk) 00:49, 6 May 2020 (UTC)

Wrong sock drawer
[edit]Hi there. You recently tagged Annika Sovold as a sock of Kingshowman. I'm pretty certain that's a mistake and that it belongs instead to the Denver Dodo drawer, members of which have a habit of attacking IanDBeacon. The two have little in common other than being American and colossal wastes of time. DD's only redeeming quality is that, unlike Kingshowman, he doesn't pretend to be a profound intellectual. Favonian (talk) 10:27, 2 May 2020 (UTC)
- @Favonian: Thanks for the heads-up; I made that mistake because both were socking at around the same time, and Kingshowman does have a habit of making spurious reports to ANI in bad faith, as Annika Sovold did. I'll read up on the Denver vandal. Passengerpigeon (talk) 11:02, 2 May 2020 (UTC)

Becoming an administrator will require well over a year of hard work and in excess of 10,000 edits on the encyclopedia, demonstrating both significant contributions to articles and varied work in administrative tasks, such as deletion tagging. Hello RedWarn tester! I hate to reitterate, but thank you so much for being willing to test RedWarn, I really appreciate it.
In the past few updates, I have added AIV (admin) reporting, a preferences panel, themes, customisation options and made many, many bug fixes and added many features based on your suggestions and feedback.
Unfortunately, recently feedback has run dry.
Even if you do not use RedWarn at the moment, or you do (tysm), I would greatly appreciate feedback of any kind. While I go round Twinkle users, sounding like that broadband salesperson in the mall that nobody ever wants to speak to, I'd like some updated feedback from recent and current users.
Any sort of feedback below would be greately appreciated!
- Your first impressions when you tried RedWarn?
- How have you used RedWarn as time has gone on?
- Would you value customisation features, such as macros or shortcuts, such as adding your own quick revert reasons so the tool can fit your exact editing practices?
- Any suggestions for how I could promote the tool to a wider audience?
- Would you appreciate a more developed and thorough user guide?
- Any theme suggestions?
- Anything you'd like changing?
- Something you've always wanted to see in an anti-vandal tool? (I might add it!)
- RedWarn app?
- A way to introduce Recent Changes patrol to new users to make using RedWarn or other tools less daunting?
- Any bugs, gripes, or things that just really annoy you about RedWarn?
Click the button below to begin a new section on the talk page
My goal is to create the most user friendly moderation tool, and that's why I need your feedback to help make this truely the most favorable anti-vandal tool. While we will never elliminate vandalism on this site, we can get closer to fighting it quickly and easily.
Many thanks for your continued support. Ed6767 (talk) 00:15, 6 May 2020 (UTC)

yeah beacuse i dint know to build a page and collect sources ,so please help me — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tejaskapoor22 (talk • contribs) 18:59, 9 May 2020 (UTC)
- @Tejaskapoor22: The sources that you have on the page are not an issue; Wikipedia editors have decided that not enough sources exist to demonstrate the notability of the subject, so there are no more sources for you to find. Passengerpigeon (talk) 23:11, 9 May 2020 (UTC)

Unblocked
[edit]Why do you declined my article and Who's This Mushupechkar?? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Iqra School Chiplun (talk • contribs) 22:28, 15 May 2020 (UTC)
- Mushupechkar is a Wikipedia user who got blocked from editing because they were using multiple accounts to promote a school that has been established as not meeting Wikipedia's school notability guidelines in a deletion discussion. Considering your account has the same username as that school and all but one edit has been creating a page that is about the same school, are you really sure you have no connection at all to the school or Mushu Pechkar, the son of the school's chairman? Disambiguation link notification for May 25
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Rickshaw, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Omnibus (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

What do you think you are doing?
[edit]What do you think you are doing? —SmokeyJoe (talk) 08:27, 30 May 2020 (UTC)
- Sorry, I didn't know you were an experienced user when I tagged the page. Do you need a test page in draftspace for the specific purpose of running a test that won't work in a sandbox? If so, I will leave it alone; please tag it for deletion yourself when you are done. Passengerpigeon (talk) 08:28, 30 May 2020 (UTC)
