citation needed

At Talk:Electric_vehicle you wrote that "the History section needs a source", which got my attention because you would usually add that yourself right in the article, which would look like this -

By the 20th century, electric cars and rail transport were commonplace, with commercial electric automobiles having the majority of the market.

And you can request that other editors do the work for you by using Template:Request edit, I didn't do the work for you, in my view it comes under Wikipedia:You don't need to cite that the sky is blue.

If I see a statement that I believe is false or the editors opinion, then I'm in the habit of letting the "citation needed" sit on the article. After a month, I return and either find a citation myself or delete the statement from the article.
