[edit]I'm the Head of Reader Relations for the Wikimedia Foundation, and I saw the note you left on Jimmy's talk page. I'd strongly encourage you to get in touch with my office at the Foundation, so we can figure out what's going on and take appropriate action. You can email me directly (philippewikimedia.org). - I can assure you that I have the highest respect for the good faith of the people on the committee. They're good people who give a substantial portion of their free time, voluntarily, to the Wikipedia community and have a very high regard for the community. If there's something going on that's inappropriate (and I'm not in any position to know one way or the other, having not seen any evidence), they are well-positioned to deal with it. I don't know of any circumstance where the Committee has rejected a valid complaint based on formatting. The clerks will help with that, as you suggest. The important thing is to make sure that all the pertinent facts are in there. If you need to submit the statement confidentially, please contact me or any of the committee's clerks and we can show you how to do that.
- If my office at the Foundation needs to get involved, we have a close relationship with the Committee and they have never been shy about letting me know if there's something I can do to assist them. You're doing the right thing by connecting with the committee. Philippe Beaudette, Wikimedia Foundation (talk) 00:03, 5 June 2011 (UTC)
Hi Parentsp - I am a member of the Arbitration Committee. Please do not worry too much about the format in which you submit information to the Committee; clarity is much more important than using the right format. It might be best to send us some of the details via email; we may be able to assist in resolving the situation without a full-fledged case. The arbcom-l mailing list is the primary venue for internal Arbitration Committee discussion on all matters under the Committee's remit. The mailing list address is arbcom-llists.wikimedia.org. It may also be reached through the "Email this user" feature at "User:Arbitration Committee". Emails from non-arbitrators go through a moderation process, but I will watch for your message. Best, Risker (talk) 00:31, 5 June 2011 (UTC)
