Thanks for contributing to the encyclopedia, but if you don't know anything about the article, then it's best to let someone else eventually create it. Cheers, -Panser Born-(talk)09:18, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
I'm afraid the page clearly meets the speedy deletion critera, so unless you can expand the article, it will get deleted by an administrator. -Panser Born-(talk)09:24, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
Okey Dokey.I'll refuse a request made by aanother user and remove the hangons-I agree to you! I just wanted to respond to another user. so, bye. Let's meet again.-Kfc1864
You flaged my entry for speedy deletion,
not sure why and how you feel I need to change to meet wiki requiremnts
am new so please explain ...--86.29.196.16009:34, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
Sure, I'll try and help you understand why I tagged it for speedy deletion, but could you direct me to the article you're talking about? Cheers, -Panser Born-(talk)09:36, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
Aha, nevermind, I believe I've found the page you're talking about. The reason it falls under speedy deletion is because it reads exactly like an advert would. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and therefore neutral, which is why articles that are blatent advertising get deleted. However, I suspect that even if you were to improve the article so it was no longer an advert, the company in question would fail Wikipedia's notability guidelines, and the article would get deleted for not meeting these. Unless you can find several reputable sources for the article (see our guidelines on attribution), then I'm afraid this will probably get deleted by an administrator within a short amount of time. -Panser Born-(talk)09:49, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
Hi, and thanks for asking for advice. =) The reason I tagged the article Chihiro Hasegawa for speedy deletion was that the article made no claim as to why the person it was about was notable enough to warrant a page on Wikipedia. We have certain notability guidelines for people here at Wikipedia (and, funnily enough, one specifically for pornographic actors), which you can find here (for general guidelines concerning people, take a look here). Hopefully those pages should help you out with what you want to know. I've also added a welcome template to your userpage which has a few handy links on it too. Happy editing. =) Cheers, -Panser Born-(talk)14:50, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
Hey I uploaded architecture and urbanization and will continue making more recordings. For architecture I currently only recorded the introduction, I hope thats ok, the rest of the page seems to fluctuate every day so I figured the heading would be more useful. Davumaya20:47, 8 April 2007 (UTC)
I've taken a hiatus from recording articles but I've recorded a few already. I met a racist person here on Wikipedia who suggested I had Chinese accented English, which is idiocracy, racism, ethnocentrism and probably fascism at its best. I won't even try to explain how ridiculous a statement it was that he made. So maybe I'll be back when the racists stop bugging me and let me do my thing. Davumaya07:59, 5 May 2007 (UTC)
If this person was racist towards, please show me where this event took place, and there's a high chance that he could get blocked / banned from Wikipedia. I hope you don't decide to leave just because of one misguided individual, it'd be a shame. =( -Panser Born-(talk)08:20, 5 May 2007 (UTC)
Also, I'm sorry I hurt Kenny G. I'm just glad you found out as quickly as you did before I harmed other deserved celebrities.

Saw that you reverted the IP editor who removed your {{speedy delete}} notification of the images in the article. First, that wasn't me. Second, I didn't post the images or put them into the article. I have reviewed the policy and see no possible way that fair-use can be used to justify just about any image on the wiki except for a very few instances, particularly in this instance since "critical commentary" would be viewed as POV, at least as most people would understand "critical" being an evaluation of the product, rather than a history of it. The box art is iconic, as far as anyone who ever played this game is concerned, but that may be a stretch for other editors that never have. Kesmai, the company who produced the game originally is now defunct, purchased by Electronic Arts, who killed the game.
So, my question is, what could possibly be a satisfactory "fair-use rationale" that would justify these images not being deleted? --Born2flie17:10, 22 April 2007 (UTC)
Really there should only be one box cover image in the whole of the article, and certainly not just thrown in with some other images at the bottom of the page, as ideally the fair use image should be discussed in the article in order to warrant its inclusion. My advice is to first take a look at this box art of Half Life 2 for an idea of what kind of fair use rationale would be acceptable. Next, give the Air Warrior article an infobox, like on the Half Life 2 article. Finally, pick the box art you wish to use in the infobox, and take the part of the fair use rationale from the Half Life 2 box art that applies to the Air Warrior box art, and use that. Hope that helps you. =) Cheers, -Panser Born-(talk)18:47, 22 April 2007 (UTC)
unreferenced
I kind of see your point. It's not that bulky, but if it's tagged with a date, it might become bulky. Do you have any suggestions on how to make these other templates more visible. Mentioning it on the talk page alone is not going to bring it to the attention of already experienced editors. Those are going to use the template without checking the talk page. - Mgm|(talk)18:25, 22 April 2007 (UTC)
I'm not much of an expert on syntax used in templates, but Night Gyr said something about this on the template talk page. Apparantly it's possible to replace the {{unreferenced}} template with {{unreferencedsect}} when the editor enters {{unreferenced|section}}. I have a feeling I'm not explaining this very well, so it might be best to ask him more about it - he might even be able to do this for us. Cheers, -Panser Born-(talk)18:39, 22 April 2007 (UTC)
It would be a nice thing to have, but that still doesn't help the users who don't know it is possible. I've been around for quite some time and I didn't even know that template had a possible variable attached. My main reason for making the addition is to make the other templates more visible so {{unreferenced}} doesn't get misused (meaning hundreds of articles get mistagged as unreferenced when they're really not unreferenced at all). If that can get resolved, I'd be happy to get it off. - Mgm|(talk)19:17, 22 April 2007 (UTC)
I see what you mean, but considering the template is meant to be for maintenance, it doesn't seem right to include the message on the template itself. Although not an ideal solution, perhaps you could include a notice in bold on the template page using the <noinclude> tags. My logic being, that for someone to learn about the {{unreferenced}} tag, they'll most likely visit that page at some point, and see the notice. Let me know what you think. Cheers, -Panser Born-(talk)07:08, 23 April 2007 (UTC)
Regarding image speedy deletion
I don't visit the Wikipedia site everyday (perhaps once a week) and technically you're correct I didn't use a fair use rationale for each scanned image or screenshot.I must have overlooked this as it stated "Please".But still as a novice Wikipedian I noticed that you specifically TARGETED for deletion MY uploaded images for several dozen flight sims to overwhelm me or delete all my labor in stealth while away, whilst overlooking the numerous other flight sims so I would not have the time to respond. You also specified a speedy (stealthy) deletion for all the multiple images of in game shots.I wonder why you picked on my flight sim screenshots for this stealthy attempted deletion and not the other ones. It's kind of dastardly to not give one sufficient time to correct an article.Aerialvendetta06:03, 23 April 2007 (UTC)
I'm very sorry that you feel you have been targeted in an unfair way. While it is indeed true that I went through your image upload log checking all your images, it is only because I found most of them to be in need of attention (i.e. requiring a fair use rationale). My intention certainly wasn't to overwhelm you, and I took extreme care not to do it stealthily - you'll find that I notified you about all of the images on your talk page, and also placed notices about speedy deletion on the captions of the images in every article they appeared in, to ensure as many people as possible knew the images were up for deletion, so they could do something about it.
My intention was not to get the images deleted, but merely to make sure they were properly licensed, as the fair usage policy is very strict in this respect. Regarding the amount of time you were given, it takes 7 days before any "speedy" deletion image gets deleted, and even after that there is a backlog of roughly 10 days, which seems to me to be a fair amount of time considering we're dealing with potential copyright infringement.
The Ill Nino page I edited was not in vandalism. The band has been incorrectly labeled a sub genre that it does not fit into. The reference used has incorrect information on it as well and should be disregarded as such. The speed metal and heavy metal tags do not fit with the band. As the band is not a metal band. This is a nu-metal/rock band. The speed metal tag was given to the band when this sub-genre is a genre that died in the 80s. Note their official myspace page refers to them a "metal/rock/latin" band. http://www.myspace.com/illnino. The speed metal article on wikipedia also does a good job of clarifying what it is and bands that play the style. I was simply correcting misinformation. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Blastocystosis (talk • contribs) 08:52, 23 April 2007 (UTC).
Unless you can find a reputable source that specifically says the band are not one of the genres listed on the page, then I'm afraid you cannot remove the information, because removing cited information is vandalism, whether you intend it to be or not.
The fact that the band consider themselves as metal / rock / latin is irrelevant; for example, the band Disturbed consider themselves hard rock and nothing else, but they are listed under multiple genres at their article. I hope you now understand why you can't remove those genres. Cheers, -Panser Born-(talk)10:40, 23 April 2007 (UTC)

Jupiter12 has smiled at you! Smiles promote WikiLove and hopefully this one has made your day better. looky looky read - In a nutshell, but i think it provides all the reasoning needed. This is hard to source, and doing so would be nonsense anyway. The info is as irrelevant as it is vague, looking at the heavy changes the positions underwent long time after they actually were in the charts. Probably you also should look up again some of the policies around here. ~ | twsx | talkcont |23:03, 29 April 2007 (UTC)
Ah, I see - I'm not sure how I managed to miss that conversation! In that case, when I've got a bit of spare time (probably tomorrow), I'll get it all cited - I already know of a source for it. By the way, what policies are you referring to in your last sentence? As far as I'm aware, there aren't any forbidding the inclusion of chart tables, as they exist in many articles on bands. -Panser Born-(talk)23:11, 29 April 2007 (UTC)
You should bring this up on the existing discussion first. Sourcing the single chart positions to keep them is totally over the top. -> WP:AGF ~ | twsx | talkcont |23:19, 29 April 2007 (UTC)
I'll assume that all the messages you just pasted onto my talk page was done by accident, and not intentional vandalism. Also, could you please not paste the comments which I made on your talk page onto this page? They don't make sense when placed here. Anyway, back to the issue we were discussing - keeping cited chart positions is perfectly reasonable. For instance, the article on Kenny G has a section devoted to chart positions and so does the Red Hot Chili Peppers discography. There's plenty of examples, just look at any article on a well-known band, and you'll be practically guranteed to find chart positions. -Panser Born-(talk)23:33, 29 April 2007 (UTC)
Thank you for correcting the vandalism that this user did to Chevelle and Strata. However, I know this user personally, and he was just joking on my page. He should be warned about other pages, but I really didn't mind the vandalism on my page. But hey, its up to you. Thanks, Indie -014:34, 2 May 2007 (UTC)
Pier Gerlofs Donia
Panser Born, do you care to help me with a spoken version of the article Pier Gerlofs Donia? I would be very glad when you'd record it fo me, or help me to do it. I'm trying to help the spoken wiki, and I'd like to start with this article; it should be interesting to listen...
because the man is a very interesting figure; he has links to his page all across wikipedia, and has a wiki-commons-section and wikiquote-article; he was a man of little words, and great deeds, but the things he said, became great quotations later. Consider it, and read the article before okay? I'll await your answer, greetings, from -)-(-H- (|-|) -O-)-(-16:41, 6 May 2007 (UTC)
First of all, let me say I'm flattered you would request a spoken version of the article from me. However, I tend to only record spoken versions of featured articles, because if an article is featured, it means the content is less likely to change. In turn, this means that the spoken version is accurate for the longest amount of time possible. I might be willing to make an exception in this case, but one thing bothers be about the article — there is a distinct lack of any sources. If you could add some references to the article (see WP:CITE if you're unsure about how to do this), I'd be more than willing to create a spoken version. -Panser Born-(talk)16:02, 7 May 2007 (UTC)
I shall see wat I can do, Panser Born. You're right about the sites and references. You might conact the creater of this page, user Paaskynen. He might know more about his sites\ref's for creating the page. And although the article ain't featured; it is a nice article indeed. Thanks for your willingness to help, humble greetings, -)-(-H- (|-|) -O-)-(-06:02, 8 May 2007 (UTC)
Well, I suggested some things. Besides, Chris is going to create the refgernces within two or more days. My first question stands; will you be able to record it? The references are all in the external link-section and Chris shall add them in a proper way later. -)-(-H- (|-|) -O-)-(-19:04, 19 May 2007 (UTC)
Oh, I didn't realise your previous message required a reply. I'm afraid that I'm no longer able to record this article - I have a lot happening in real life at the moment (exams, college work, etc.), and I just don't have the time available to record any articles. Sorry about that. -Panser Born-(talk)19:17, 19 May 2007 (UTC)
What do you use to compress png's, cause it works really well (you used it on the Three Days Grace logo). Spira1204:52, 9 May 2007 (UTC)
I use the program pngout to compress PNG images. I use the version based in a command-line interface, but I believe there's a GUI version somewhere - it says something about that in the the program's article. The compression amount varies depending on the image, but for logos and such it normally works quite well. Hope that helps. -Panser Born-(talk)10:04, 9 May 2007 (UTC)
Help Please
Please help me once again someone is threatening to ban me User: Inhumer so please try helping to fight against because it is no fair as we are in an editing war over the genra of Lamb of God (band) he is telling administraters that I am Vandilizing, once again please help. Skeeker07:42, 13 May 2007 (UTC)
After reading most of the discussion between you, there's nothing you could get banned for. However, I think it'd be worth it if you familiarised yourself with the three-revert rule, just so you don't get yourself in trouble in the future. Regarding the dispute as to what genre the band should be, if you want to change the genre, just find a reference that backs up the genre you're adding. If your genre has a source, and someone else's genre doesn't, it's far more likely that yours will stay there. -Panser Born-(talk)18:22, 13 May 2007 (UTC)
Audio Recordings listed on my talk page
I have recorded all of these and they are in the editing stage. If you are going to give them to someone else, it would be much more efficient if you had someone edit them rather than redoing them. I am in the process of editing them, but it is going slowly since this is a volunteer adventure. Please let me know if you want the unedited files.
Ah, I understand. In that case, please carry on - the message I left on your talk page is only so I can identify spoken article projects that have become inactive. I'll re-add you to the "in progress" list. Cheers, -Panser Born-(talk)08:42, 14 May 2007 (UTC)
About Alter Bridge II
If you go onto the Alter Bridge forums on abbforums.net you'll see Mark Tremonti's brother posts there daily and HE said that the band has signed to Universal Records also the band announced it at the Foxwoods show they did. Many people who went to the show confirmed it, is that proof enough for you? I'm changing it back now —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.21.77.17 (talk) 21:13, 14 May 2007 (UTC).
I'm afraid neither of those sources are credible enough. If you read Wikipedia's guidelines on citing sources, you'll notice that it says a reliable source is a "credible published material", which a concert announcement and forum post most certainly are not, especially for something as important as a record label change. I'm going to have to revert your edit until you can provide a credible source, I'm afraid. -Panser Born-(talk)21:23, 14 May 2007 (UTC)
I notice you placed a tag on this page to the effect it would be deleted because it has no fair use rationale. It does, so i have removed the tag. If you feel the rationale is incorrect, perhaps you could explain some more? Sandpiper07:19, 18 May 2007 (UTC)
All this image has is a description of what is being shown — there is no explanation for why it should be allowed under the fair use policy. -Panser Born-(talk)12:51, 18 May 2007 (UTC)
Image:Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.jpg
I notice you changed this image to one of lower resolution. I'm not sure what the rules say about this, but the one poasted was already low resolution. The original was available elsewhere, (I think form the publishers?) at about 2000x2000. Sandpiper07:36, 18 May 2007 (UTC)
The term "low-resolution" is of course open to debate, but this image doesn't need to be larger than 200px wide. This is because the infobox it is displayed in doesn't show the image any larger than this. -Panser Born-(talk)13:00, 18 May 2007 (UTC)
Fandom removal
Hey, just wanted to commend you for removing the silly, unsourced fandom section on the His Dark Materials. My fingers have been itching to do just that for a few days, but I was sure that some crazy fan was going to go, well, crazy about it. Let's hope that's not the case. :) María(habla conmigo) 03:18, 19 May 2007 (UTC)
Greetings! Thank you for your note. I have read the guidelines carefully, and believe that this image qualifies for uploading onto the English Wikipedia under the "Non-free fair use" clause because there appears to be no free-use photograph of this subject; the relevant Wikipedia policy is as follows: "Non-free media can only be used on Wikipedia if it is not possible to replace such copyrighted work with a free work of acceptable quality." Wikipedia:Image copyright tags, accessed today. Please read the rationale that I submitted along with the image, as per the Wikiepedia stated policy. Am I understanding the policy wrong? If so, my sincere apologies. Daderot00:24, 27 May 2007 (UTC)
Oops, you have my full apologies. I've reverted the article back to your edit, and have struck through the notice I made on your talk page. Sorry about that. -Panser Born-(talk)16:35, 27 May 2007 (UTC)
re: Image:Northern lights.jpg
You're absolutely right - I deleted one, but forgot the first one :) My internet's very slow right now, making backlog clearing a bit of a chore, and I must have missed that one out in my frustration - time to go back and check if I missed any more! Good work on all the reducing, too. Cheers, Riana⁂03:31, 29 May 2007 (UTC)
Hi Panser. My deepest apologies for not having removed myself from this article before. I am very busy and no longer have home internet access, so I can only get on as and when I can pay for it, which is not very often! Please proceed to remove me from this list since I have lost it, and have no idea what the link was. I got stuck trying to complete the spoken conversion on this one since it also contains a lot of words in the Manx language, which is extremely hard to get right. You may be wise to direct someone with a little knowledge of Irish Gaelic or Kernewek (Cornish) to this one. Regards, Thor Malmjursson12:07, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
Hi, I do not understand why you placed {{Subst:Uw-warn}} in my talk page. I already did a final warning before reverting Pidding's edits in the World's Strongest Man article, so there no motive to keeping waring for every edit that he did. Carlosguitar09:31, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
Ah, my mistake, I didn't check the names of the editors who had warned him, only of the articles he had been warned about. Did he get reported to WP:AIV then? -Panser Born-(talk)17:16, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
