If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Imam Bilal Malik requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. GSS💬 06:55, 18 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello PakSarZameen27. The nature of your edits, such as the one you made to Imam Bilal Malik‎, gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:PakSarZameen27. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=PakSarZameen27|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. GSS💬 07:08, 18 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I am not being paid or compensated to edit the articles of Imam Bilal Malik or Ghulam Murtaza Malik in any way, shape, or form. PakSarZameen27 (talk) 07:10, 18 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for clarifying. Since you've declared your conflict of interest on your user page, you're prohibited from editing articles related to you and your family, friends, school, company, club, or organization, as well as any competing companies' projects or products, as per WP:COI. Your only option is to suggest changes on the Talk page, where a non-connected editor can decide whether to implement or decline them. Thank you. GSS💬 09:23, 18 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Your articles in draft

[edit]

Both articles about your family members have been put into draft space. I don't think you will be allowed to edit them again because of your conflict of interest. However, I haven't deleted them, because I believe there is a possibility that they may both be notable people. You can use the Talk pages to discuss the content with other editors who may be willing to help. Ask at Wikipedia:Teahouse for further assistance, or at the relevant project, e.g. Wikipedia:WikiProject Islam. Deb (talk) 11:39, 18 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Alright, I understand.
What should I do if I can't find an editor interested in helping me out?
I had done the same for Draft:Ghulam Murtaza Malik almost 2 years prior, yet I received no responses over that time period, which is why I took the liberty of editing and creating the two articles. PakSarZameen27 (talk) 19:34, 18 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, PakSarZameen27,
You're in a bit of a hard place. It was great that you were honest and declared your conflict-on-interest on your User page. You are to be commended for that. But that also means that while you can create these articles, you shouldn't be involved with their development. You can always ask for help on a related WikiProject, like Wikipedia:WikiProject Pakistan, to see if there are editors who are interested in working on those articles. Look at articles for similiar individuals and see who has edited those articles and try approaching them for help. Most editors, as long as they are active, are welcome to editors who are looking for help, even if they can't immedidately respond.
I guess my final advice is to be patient about this. Getting impatient and wanting articles in the main space before they are ready can lead to problems, for the article and for your status as an editor.
If you are ever looking for support and advice, I recommend bringing your questions to the Teahouse. The editors there can be very helpful. Good luck. Liz Read! Talk! 02:53, 19 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you, I really appreciate it. PakSarZameen27 (talk) 06:23, 19 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
