Sorry
[edit]Apologies for my unintentionally misleading edit summary on Template:Infobox cricketer biography; I misread the diffs, and thought your second edit was a self-reversion. I stand by the actual edit I made, firstly since it's dangerous not to use an edit summary when changing a complex template and secondly since you left it slightly malformed. It would probably be good to post on WT:CRIC first before making any changes to the template, since there needs to be a consensus for something like that. Umpires and infoboxes
[edit]Hi,
Just thought I'd let you know amended the {{Infobox cricketer biography}} to match {{Infobox cricket umpire}} - including IT20s as well. I'm planning to convert all of the 'cricket umpire' infoboxes to the all-encompassing one, as then all umpires can use the one infobox as well (adding player stats if applicable). It will also make it easier if new functions are added/tweaked with the biography template, such as the recently tweaked partialdates function.
If you don't mind using this one instead, the umpire one can be deprecated. The only changes you need to be aware of are to add the fields
- | umpire = true
- | columns = 0 [or 1-4 to set the playing stats columns]
and amend the spelling of 'testdubutdate' to
- | umptestdebutdate =
If you've any questions, just drop me a line.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
