WikiProject Companies - Retail Task Force
[edit]Hi Paco8191 - Firstly great work in expanding the project, I'm really happy to have someone so enthusiastic on board!
I noted that you had put yourself down for a Retail industry task force, and wanted to mention that there is already a project specifically dedicated to that - WikiProject Retailing. I've left a message with their founder expressing my hope we can work together and moved the Relevant Projects section in the Companies project next to the task forces, as I'm sure there may be other industry specific company projects out there. Any questions or concerns feel free to drop me a line. Cheers! Richc80 04:39, 22 July 2007 (UTC)
- Hey, just responding to your question on my talk page. I agree that brand names are not within the scope of WikiProject Companies, and likely could be handled by a separate project (such as Business & Economics if they felt so inclined). Cheers! Richc80 01:27, 23 July 2007 (UTC)

Little context in Index Corporation
[edit]Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Index Corporation, by Seattlenow (talk · contribs), another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Index Corporation is very short providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles.
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Index Corporation, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. --Android Mouse Bot 2 05:29, 10 August 2007 (UTC)

- I finished your request. It can be viewed here. Feel free to let me know if you desire any changes.¤~Persian Poet Gal (talk) 05:42, 30 August 2007 (UTC)
- Apparently the image you provided was not a public domain image and was removed by another user. Any recommendations as far as what you want that space to be replaced with? I'll see how I can remake the ad.¤~Persian Poet Gal (talk) 07:09, 3 September 2007 (UTC)
RE: Creating a WikiProject
[edit]Sorry I haven't gotten back to you until now (on a small Wiki-break) but I'm glad to see that you've got your wikiproject going! Good luck with that. Hopefully we will still be seeing you over at wikiproject companies every now and then, as you've made a valuable contribution to that project also. Over 800 articles now!! Cheers. Activity survey for members of WikiProject Companies
[edit]- placed on talk pages of all participants
I wanted to get a notion of the level of activity of people who are members of WikiProject Companies with respect to monitoring the WikiProject Talk page and participating in discussions of interest and/or responding to requests for input.
Could you please visit Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Companies/Member information#2008 Quarter 1 (Jan-Mar): Talk page monitoring survey and adding yourself to one or more of the several groupings listed?
Thanks for your assistance.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Asian 10,000 Challenge invite
[edit]Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 11:28, 20 October 2016 (UTC)
