[edit]Hello, I'm Toddy1. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Ali ibn Abi Talib, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. -- Toddy1 (talk) 13:18, 2 January 2022 (UTC)
Hi PZMir! I noticed that you have reverted to restore your preferred version of Fatimah several times. The impulse to undo an edit you disagree with is understandable, but I wanted to make sure you're aware that the edit warring policy disallows repeated reversions even if they are justifiable.
All editors are expected to discuss content disputes on article talk pages to try to reach consensus. If you are unable to agree at Talk:Fatimah, please use one of the dispute resolution options to seek input from others. Using this approach instead of reverting can help you avoid getting drawn into an edit war.
Please check the page numbers for your edit and report them at the article talk page. A quote from the source (e.g., using {{quotebox}}) would probably also be helpful. Please don't call other editors' edits disruptive without good cause; when other editors find themselves unable to verify a source it's normal to go to the talk page and discuss in a friendly way. Thanks!. ☿ Apaugasma (talk ☉) 15:05, 4 January 2022 (UTC)
Previous account?
[edit]Hi PZMir, and welcome again! You seem to know what you're doing. Did you edit using another account previously? ☿ Apaugasma (talk ☉) 14:44, 2 January 2022 (UTC)
- Nope, I did edit a few times from a friend's account and learned a lot from him. Now Its time for me to edit. Thanks for the welcome! PZMir (talk) 15:15 , 2 January 2022 (UTC)
- I'd like to second Apaugasma. Though your edits are no older than a week, you seem to be familiar with the Wiki "jargon" and comfortably using it against other editors, e.g., "disruptive edit" (here) and "POV" (here). There seems to be at least one more account (IAmAtHome) which seems to be working in tandem with PZMir. Here are a few edits that stand out to me:
- 04:43, 2 January 2022 Ab.Saleem added Umar ibn Ali
- 09:54, 2 January 2022 PZMir added Abu Bakr ibn Ali and Umar ibn Ali
- 11:40, 2 January 2022 IAmAtHome added Abu Bakr ibn Ali and Umar ibn Ali
- Recent edits to Umar ibn Ali:
- 09:50, 2 January 2022 PZMir edited Umar ibn Ali
- 10:07, 2 January 2022 IAmAtHome added a source to Umar ibn Ali
- Recent edits by PZMir to Fatimah. As discussed here, the new claims cannot be found in the given source (Rogerson and Rahman), and the invitations to clarify the source have gone unanswered so far. See also the ongoing edit war on that page.
- To me, this might merit an investigation by WP:SPI. Albertatiran (talk) 12:09, 4 January 2022 (UTC)
- @Albertatiran, Nope, I don't know PZMir & Ab.Saleem. Plus, you mentioned that I added Abu Bakr and Umar to Ali ibn Abi Talib. I was already in search of that issue, when one of them was removed from the article by You(see:Edit at 08:09, 2 January 2022). The article was already on my watchlist. I was just looking for a more reliable source. At last, I found it (via TDV İslam Ansiklopedisi (İA)》volume:2nd(1989)》published:Descendents of Ali in Turkish language. So, first, I added without adding citation. I thought strange by citing the source into infobox. Then, when I was asked to provide source, I added that. No connection with the users you mentioned. Thank You. IAmAtHome (talk) 12:57, 4 January 2022 (UTC)
