Speedy deletion nomination of Assaf Harel
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Assaf Harel requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. — O Fortuna! St. Thomas
I don't understand why you moved St. Thomas, Strasbourg. Name and location work well when an article - as it often is - deals not only with a building but also the parish. If a move, I'd understand to the French name, because the French have everything their language, even Bach ;) --Gerda Arendt (talk) 13:58, 20 March 2017 (UTC)
- ps: in this particular case, the official website has no "church" or "église" in the name, and the architecture site has it - naturally because only concerned with the building -, but no English name whatsoever. IF we translate to English, the common way is to abbreviate Saint to St or St., - compare other articles.
Hi...
...and thanks. The 'St.' to 'Saint' changes and moves are needed in quite a few places, and you've probably already done many. Keeping in mind the difference between the actual person and the buildings named after them (which can remain St.) makes for careful article editing runs. I've put in a non-controversial request for a name change for St. Joseph's Day to 'Saint Joseph's Day', which seems to fit the page itself. As always, thanks for your good work. - Thanks to you! Correct remarks, per MOS:SAINT, yes. Actually, if you would like to help, I have a need of help as indicated above in the "Help" section. Chicbyaccident (talk)

The article François de Cossé-Brissac has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.
If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Unfortunately, I got permanently blocked by an administrator on Swedish Wikipedia a year ago. I'm wondering if anyone would be willing to help me out on the Swedish talk page of my user account, please? Hopefully at least I could regain access my Swedish userpage and talk page if not more. That would be much appreciated. Chicbyaccident (talk) 13:22, 18 December 2016 (UTC)
- You will have to request the unblock yourself on your svwiki talk page. As far as I can tell, your talk page access isn't currently revoked there, so you can use
{{avblockering|motivering}}
to request unblock. --AntiCompositeNumber (Leave a message) 15:03, 18 December 2016 (UTC)- @AntiCompositeNumber: Thanks for your answer. It seems like you were right. However, immediately, someone else restricted access to the talk page again. Any help would be much appreciated since there is not much I can do. Chicbyaccident (talk) 15:17, 18 December 2016 (UTC)
Please use the {{help me}} template appropriately. The {{help me}} template is for help in using Wikipedia, not for unrelated issues. If you would like to ask such a question, replace the code {{help me-inappropriate}} on this page with {{help me}} to reactivate the help request. Alternatively, you can also ask your question at the Teahouse, the help desk, or join Wikipedia's Live Help IRC channel to get real-time assistance. |
Sorry. I didn't get no help. So I am putting this help request up again. I am still blocked infinitely from the Swedish Wikipedia by the decision of one administrator there, who seems to refuse to acknowledge any feedback. I am blocked from access to my user page and even my talk page on the Swedish, so there is no way I can put forward a request to reevaluate the block, which has endured for more than a year now. Any help would be much appreciated since there is not much I can do about it myself. Thanks! Chicbyaccident (talk) 15:38, 8 January 2017 (UTC)
- Chicbyaccident, this is the English Wikipedia, we can not help you with anything related to the Swedish Wikipedia as they may have different guidelines and policies then English Wikipedia. I suggest trying to see what all you can do about your block on Swedish Wikipedia. Ⓩⓟⓟⓘⓧ Talk 17:07, 8 January 2017 (UTC)
Dear MagnusA (talk · contribs), you have had my Swedish user account blocked for over a year now for expressing an opinion on an article's gallery on an article talk page. You have refrained from recognising questions directed to you about that action here, while only replying on the Swedish userpage from which you had me blocked in the first place. Unfortunately, the administration of English Wikipedia typically don't intervene in the affairs of the Swedish part. I have contributed significantly more to the English than the Swedish Wikipedia, and although their have been different opinions on a few issues, I have never even been under a threat of a block, much less a permanent one. In light of this, and also a year having passed, what more would it take for you to reevaluate your permanent block action, please? Thank you! Chicbyaccident (talk) 17:22, 7 February 2017 (UTC)
- Clearly, the administrator that had my account on Swedish Wikipedia blocked refuses to acknowledge the request. Here therefore an attempt to forward the request to other fellow Wikipedia users which have frequented my Swedish Wikipedia account: Vannucci (talk · contribs), Kentlarserik (talk · contribs), Ainali (talk · contribs), Ternarius (talk · contribs), Yger (talk · contribs), Riggwelter (talk · contribs), LittleGun (talk · contribs), and Klementin (talk · contribs). Any assistance on how to proceed in order to have my talk page unblocked on Swedish Wikipedia would be much appreciated. For the record, I am not that preoccupied about any persisting consensus on Swedish Wikipedia that may differ from larger language versions such as the English one. Nontheless, having access to and control over my user acount there would be appreciated. Hope you don't mind the request. Thank you! Chicbyaccident (talk) 17:04, 24 February 2017 (UTC)
- After your recurring personal attacks etc and editwars, you are not welcome on svwp in the near future. I am glad to see it works better for you on this wiki and when three years have psased (in beginning of 2019) I think a request to be unblocked could have a good chance of being approved.Yger (talk) 17:53, 24 February 2017 (UTC)
- Dear Yger (talk · contribs), it is true that I am no perfect user here and also have had differing opinions from you. I am sorry if you have been hurt by that. However, most contributions, both on Swedish Wikipedia and elsewhere, have been made without any negative feedback - or any feedback at all, for that sake, as is modus operandi. Most of us contribute much that meets no positive feedback, but easily get fiercely critisised for the few occations when we do. Luckily, this doesn't mean several years of ostracism for most contributors. After having accumulated man-hours equivalent of perhaps one or more Ph. D.s of contributions on Wikipedia in total, as for myself, I would say that my main efforts here are about to come to an end for the time being. I will remain a big fan of Wikipedia and that won't change just because of ostracism by a few influential accounts on one language version. However, what would make you care to bring up the question for more accounts to have a say on a more soon eventual pardon on Swedish Wikipedia, please? That would have been a pleasant ending to an in other ways pleasant time of contribution to your project internationally. Yours, Chicbyaccident (talk) 18:12, 4 March 2017 (UTC)
