ArbCom 2017 election voter message

Hello, Chicbyaccident. Voting in the 2017 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 10 December. All users who registered an account before Saturday, 28 October 2017, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Wednesday, 1 November 2017 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2017 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:42, 3 December 2017 (UTC)

Greetings

I dont think we have communicated directly before, but after years away from WP I just checked my messages and see that you referenced my CC v RCC essay from 2006. I was very surprised that anyone anymore would be aware of that essay. I was too intensly involved at one time and it was good for me to be away from WP. Was shocked to see years later that the article title was changed to CC. I'd like to think I contributed to that change in some way even if I wasnt active when it happened. So, Im curious how you knew of my essay. All the best. Vaquero100 (talk) 03:14, 7 December 2017 (UTC)

Greetings! Good job with your essay, which I believe still provides the most elaborate presentation of the perspective that we may still ultimately refer to. The arguments have by large gained acceptence here. The ones listed inWikipedia:WikiProject_Catholicism/Article_alerts remains as ongoing discussions. After those, the ones remaining on User:Grabado/List has yet to be discussed. Furthermore, there might remain some inconsistency inside the text of Catholic Church-pertaining articles. Yet, with or arguably without these changes in question, the picture is clear: the terminological integrity of the Catholic Church has gained WP:Consensus since many years. Although the drafted Wikipedia:Proposed naming conventions (Catholic Church) failed, this naming proposal may be proposed as a further specified Wikipedia talk:Proposed naming conventions (Catholic Church)#Cuius regio, eius religio-inspired essay or convention. Your thoughts would be appreciated on any of these linked pages.Chicbyaccident (talk) 15:55, 7 December 2017 (UTC)
