Your submission at Articles for creation

[edit]
Not So Bad as We Seem, Or, Many Sides to a Character: A Comedy in Five Acts, which you submitted to Articles for creation, has been created.
The article has been assessed as Stub-Class, which is recorded on the article's talk page. You may like to take a look at the grading scheme to see how you can improve the article.

You are more than welcome to continue making quality contributions to Wikipedia. Note that because you are a logged-in user, you can create articles yourself, and don't have to post a request. However, you may continue submitting work to Articles for Creation if you prefer.

Thank you for helping improve Wikipedia!

Courses Modules are being deprecated

[edit]

Hello,

Your account is currently configured with an education program flag. This system (the Courses system) is being deprecated. As such, your account will soon be updated to remove these no longer supported flags. For details on the changes, and how to migrate to using the replacement system (the Programs and Events Dashboard) please see Wikipedia:Education noticeboard/Archive 18#NOTICE: EducationProgram extension is being deprecated.

Event coordinator

[edit]

Hi, the English Wikipedia recently created a new user permission for editors involved in off-wiki outreach work, event coordinator. This new permission allows users to mark accounts for confirmed for up to 10 days, and also allows them to create accounts for events without rate limits without some of the features of the account creator right that aren't used at edit-a-thons and other events. I have added the event coordinator permission to your account and removed the account creator permission, as you appear to have been using it mainly for outreach work.

This should have no noticeable impact on your ability to create accounts, and will give you the extra ability to temporarily confirm accounts if you need to. For more information, you can see the information page on the right, or you can ask me if you have any questions. TonyBallioni (talk) 18:56, 22 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

FGM

[edit]

Hi PCFleming05 and Shalor (Wiki Ed), I see that female genital mutilation has been chosen by one of your students, KPeprah112, as part of your course. This is a featured article on a sensitive subject and probably not the best choice for a class assignment. SarahSV (talk) 21:00, 11 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Many thanks, SarahSV (talk) 21:13, 11 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
PCFleming05, thank you for doing that. I don't know what KPeprah112 has in mind, and she should do whatever interests her, but one thing that would be useful is if she could create an article about FGM in a particular country, such as Female genital mutilation in Somalia or Female genital mutilation in Egypt. We have very few country-specific FGM articles (India, Colonial Kenya, Kurdistan, New Zealand, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, United Kingdom, and United States). You can see the current list in the template {{Female genital mutilation}}. Also see Prevalence of female genital mutilation by country. I hope this helps. SarahSV (talk) 19:28, 12 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you SarahSV! I will share this with her (I had suggested related organizations or legislation, but this looks very doable!)
