Modifying your own comments
[edit]Just letting you know it's usually bad practice to modify your comments on a talk page, especially after they've already been replied to. Simple typographical errors are fine to correct usually anytime, but adding words, phrases, or punctuation to show emphasis is usually frowned upon. I've noticed you did this on at least 4-5 occasions at Talk:The Walking Dead (TV series). At the very least, if you feel the need to change your own comments, you should use "strike-through" font for the old text (example) that you're modifying to show other editors what was originally stated. --GoneIn60 (talk) 17:24, 8 July 2014 (UTC)
- I didn't know this, didn't even know about "strike-through". It's just my nature to self-edit and correct, especially if I didn't think I was clear or didn't think I was charitable enough. I try to correct before anyone has responded to what I've written. Thank you for the information. PAGauden (talk) 17:41, 8 July 2014 (UTC)
- Sure, no problem. I'm a grammar/punctuation nut myself, so I know what you mean. --GoneIn60 (talk) 17:53, 8 July 2014 (UTC)
